Love this! The only one I use that’s not in here is Shift M which selects all muted regions. I love it for quick cleanup of my projects.

There is one not mentioned, but quite handy sometimes. Select a region or even note in the piano roll and press shift + F. It select all following regions/notes. I love your channel Chris! Learned a lot from you! Thanks!
@gabriel_levi2 жыл бұрын
You're better off just using Command A, it's one less click.
@MrPajmej2 жыл бұрын
@@gabriel_levi This selects all regions. I've been talking about selection of regions following after the selected one. Different situation.
@gabriel_levi2 жыл бұрын
@@MrPajmej Ahh gotcha. I saw you mentioned using it in the piano roll which is all I tried, which was effectively the same as Command A. Will try it in the track view, thanks!

@@gabriel_levi I made that comment a year ago. I used to use "select following" to move whole parts to make space for another song section. I don't use it anymore as I learn to insert space with cycle locators.

Under ‘Key Commands’ in Logic’s main menu scroll to ➡️Edit...➡️click ‘functions gear’ in the upper left corner scroll to ➡️ ‘Copy Key Commands to Clipboard’➡️ open a word processor and paste. And now you have a PDF of all or some of Logic’s Key Commands.

Hey Chris, awesome video. I appreciate you always dropping amazing Knowledge. I do have a quick question. Before I upgraded to Logic 10.7 when I was using Native Instruments, Battery I had the ability to use the up/down arrow keys on my keyboard to scroll through different sounds and when I found one that I liked, I could hit "Return" on my keyboard, and it would select said sound. Not sure what happened, but now when I'm in battery and I hit "Return" the marker returns to the beginning of the project, but it doesn't allow me to select a sound in Battery. Having it set up the way I did before made auditioning and selecting sounds quick and easy. Having to use my mouse now is a real workflow killer, and idea as to how to fix this? Thanks so much brother. A

Love the channel and this playlist in particular. It’s fantastic for someone coming back to Logic! One thing that I have gotten used to elsewhere and that I find incredibly powerful, is the ability to put several key commands together in a ‘macro’ that can then itself be assigned a key combination. You could have an entire set of key commands fire off in sequence using one key command. For example, ‘split track under selection’ ‘lower event volume 6 dB’ ‘change event color to red’ ‘rewind play head 2 bars’ ‘play’. And all of those individual key commands would be grouped together as a macro assigned to its own key combination. I could make a selection then fire off that sequence. Tried as I might, I can’t figure out how to do that in Logic proper. (I don’t want to use Automator or any third party keyboard utilities.) Am I missing something or is the above described ability not there yet? Thank you.

This is insane! Thanks man! What is the difference between the “W” and “E” audio editors?
@merlinnsound4 жыл бұрын
Actually "W" is the audio editor and "E" is the region editor. Say, you have two or more regions that refer to the same audio file. The region editor will only change the one region you're working on. The audio editor will change the audio file underneath it, so it will change for every region in your project.
