Can anybody tell me why most modern motorcycles nowadays look like the hunchback of Notre Dame??? What's the point of these ridiculous looking gas tanks sloping towards the front. I mean a little would be ok but in combination with these even lower headlights they really look at if they had a hunchback.

Finally I consider the 890 same as the 790 duke. And after 125xt it was more fun than I you’ll handle, but the electronics keep me alive. Top 2 means I’m still getting the medal and that means a lot to me from my favorite noob.

I own a cb650r, and i can assure you that its a great bike, you definitely dont sit as agressive as the MT07 for example. I have around 3000 miles on it, no problems whatsoever. Can only recommend it

CB is way more aggressive than the mt-07. I have the CB and my best friend has the mt-07. CB has the gear shifter in a more sporty layout with metal pegs, MT-07 has rubber pegs and more upright ergos. CB is not uncomfortable by anymeans but it's more aggressive than the MT. (Both 2020 versions)

mt-07 is the least agressive i can imagine. you sit as upright as on a supermoto with your feet forward that it's concerningly close to a cruiser. nope. not for me.

@@thorbenjohr we have to differentiate here i think. and i only know the cmparison between the mt07 and mt03. the seating is very relaxed on the mt07 with the footpegs more forward than the mt03. too much forward for my likes. contrary to that the riding is indeed very agressive. just like with a supermoto, you sit relaxed and upright but you fight your corners like there is no tomorrow. after test riding th 07 and switching back to my 03 i was happy to be back on my bike where i can lean down better and rev out to 12k rpm. relaxed is not for me.

It’s just 2 way different types of style. I love the looks of the MT-09 (2017-2020) as a modern naked bike, cause it looks mean and menacing. However, the XSR looks really beautiful and falls in a different category for me to compare it to. I find it hard to say that the one is better looking than the other

The mt 07 is what I wanted but the dealer sold the one they had and couldn't get another one. All the ones I found used where 7k+. I ened up with the cbr500r. It was pretty much the only sport bike they had. As a first bike I enjoy it, but now I'm ready for another one.

I cant decide between the Duke 890 R and the Mt09 SP. Apparently the 890R is better, sharper, more sporty etc and I also prefer the way it looks. The MT09 looks like typical Japanese styling. I do like that 3 cylinder whistle though. I have a 2020 Duke 390 and it's still a blast to ride so I'll stick with that for a while longer.

@@nateriver5114 but it is! In europe you can convert any bike with or below 70kw to a 35kw a2 bike! (Even though with the right driving schools and a certain type of motorcycle license they teach you to ride a full power 650, but withhold the full license for the first 2 years)

@@duncandehulst2016 a factory z650 isn't. like you said, you have to limit the power to 35kw. but i know that many driving schools have the same bike for both license. but despite driving school, why would i want a limited bike that can't be revd out? i could just get a mt03 or duke390 and switch for a street triple rs two years later. even more weird are the a2 compatible versions of bikes above 70kw.

Been watching these list video's for a while now. Learned so much from y'all. Anyhow, I recently bought my first mc and it's an MV Agusta Brutale 800RR. Was I ready for the 140 horses up top? No. Do I like them? Yes. Is it cheap to run and maintain? No. Do I like all the attention the bike gets at meets? Hell yes. Never a dull moment, so much joy riding.

I've had a BMW F900R for two years now. If you're a taller fellow, it's a much more comfortable bike than the rest of the class. Grunty 900cc twin is a good match for my fellow chonky boys too. Plus the fit and finish is top draw.

@@HochstartHarry I'm in Oz, and the Beemer is the same price as an MT09 here. Warranty is longer too, plus you get free road side assistance. They really pull out the extra stops to try and keep you on the brand.

I've got a 2021 890 Duke R and my good mate has a 2021 MT-09SP. I reckon the Duke is a BETTER bike overall because of it's size, weight, rideability, etc....but the engine in the MT is pretty sweet when you give it the berries....just sayin'

The MT09's looks improve greatly with exhaust and a windscreen. I like the 890 very much but the motor doesn't have the character of the MT. Just my humble opinion.
