One of the things that bothers me regarding assembly along path is the direction of the path, as the direction of the path determines, which one is outside and which one is inside (in asymetrical assemblies), does anyone know how to change the direction of the path, so one can easily create object without flipping the assemblies because of wrong direction of the path or line?

If you pre-select the path with the Smart Path Selection Tool, you can control the direction of the assembly before using the build along path command
