Country music has become overtly popish and veered so far from what the majority of fans were accustomed to relative to a decade or so ago; “stadium country” has become a monogenre sold by marketing. Where Old Town Road succeeds is its simple concept that the average person can relate to. Being based in Trap music doesn’t hold it back because country music has courted rap music and fans for a while now. And Trap has the ability to plug into corners of country music the new sound can not touch and listeners want. This isn’t “Outlaw Country”, but it’s a hell of a lot closer. Eventually people become beleaguered worrying if their Wranglers are on just right and the label on their beer is facing the proper direction. The entire gist of the song is a primal scream that for a change this moment is for you and only you. And whether your choice is a horse, motorcycle, or the worn out boots on your feet; you’re going out to the quiet and dusty road to give it all you have until your body is so exhausted you cannot any longer.

I’m glad you came around on Brendon Urie because I was going to release a crappy rant video explaining why he is NOT the new Adam Levine. Also, Panic! at the Disco sold out years ago, Brendon has said it himself. Thanks for the video. It really isn’t the end of the year until your list comes out.

i 180'd hard on Post Malone in 2019, even ended up appreciating some of his older stuff more. The temptation to clown on him was just too strong at first and caused me to misjudge him but his songs are damn good

For me, I started seeing more of his presence as a "real person", and I started to like him more and more in that context. Then he did the nirvana cover set on KZbin for covid charity. That was the deciding factor and I am indeed a fan, in general
