Listened to this countless times since I found it yesterday, it's like the best metaphor to describe what an autistic meltdown/mental breakdown/overload feels like when it goes crazy and the screaming in your head it induces the feeling throught my body and then the calm comes , a release of those feelings and back to feeling like I can breath and smile again so affective, litteral music therapy ❤❤❤

I live in a place with a lot of tornados luckily I’ve never expected a bad one (knock on wood) but I’m still terrified of any type of storm so that would be an actual nightmare for me
@puppyhowler Жыл бұрын
tornado hit my house around a year or so ago and this song is exactly how i felt. i didn't know it was coming and i was in my room just waiting out the thunderstorm, i was on a discord call with some friends and they were helping me keep calm. however the lingering feeling of dread grew as the storm kept getting louder, and louder, and then suddenly BOOM! all of my windows flew open and wind, dirt, sticks, and leaves rushed into my room. i screamed, grabbed my phone and cat and tried to get out of my room but the wind kept pushing the door shut. when i finally pried it open i ran as fast as i could to the basement bathroom. part of a tree branch snapped off the old oak tree in the backyard and landed right on top of the garage, the next morning i saw just how close that branch was from landing in my room... i agree this song perfectly captures how it feels, the gradual sense of danger as you realize the weather is getting bad, the sense of panic, and then the calm after the storm

This song, especially 1:17-2:48, is a perfect representation of what happened the first time our protector saved our first host when we were a child. the sense of panic and fear and transition to comfort when the protector fronted and the host met one of the caregivers in the innerworld. that protector has been singing this for weeks (we're an osdd system)

This perfectly describes what I’ve been through the last four days. Had the most awful experience with a mental health medication. Did NOT agree with me. Woke up with extremely scary tachycardia. Sweating, nauseous, couldn’t sleep for days, crying my eyes out. I already have bad anxiety but this pushed me way over the edge. Thought, “This might be the end.” Thank God for Owl City. His music is brightening my day today as I recover from this ordeal. Hold on tight, everyone. You’ll come out okay on the other side. 🩵
