Hemingway is a amazing looking bird and his babies will be pretty, walking different also tells the birds something is up, i hope the female turkey stays long enough to be added to the flock eating their food will clean out her gut so maybe time to think about clipping her feathers and put her in with them or quarantine her then clip and add, for a second i thought the kitty had passed on , Kathy and Jim are an amazing pair they make me think and laugh, love how Henry is running down the lane just a chattering the whole time hugsssssss

Ah yes, the sound of silence broken only by contented "bawking" sounds. Glad you were able to restore peace to the bird kingdoms while adding to your freezer. Bless that wild turkey's heart. She wants some friends.

PEACEFUL, Leaves started changing too much. Early. Hot temp. are back this week. Your property is so nice. You are very BLESSED. I read a few days ago, 90% of the U.P. was sold. Not to American families. European companies for forestery. Lumber. Even Lake Linden, Chassel Houghton areas. Broke my ❤. A friend of mine has been looking for land. Nothing. Thank you for sharing. I 100% love watching and learning from you. Love and praying for you and your loving Family. So much more relaxing for your birds and you. SE MICHIGAN 🙏 🙏🙏🙏🙏

The "pecking order" of roosters can be a very difficult thing. You handled it in the best possible way.

We always used a wooden dowel rod with a metal bent hook shape on the end, to catch our chickens. You move in low and swoop at their legs and if the rod is long enough you don’t have to get real close. Loved listening to Henry give his vlog as the two of you walked down the drive. I think I heard him end it with Hurry Hurry as he sprinted down the driveway! 😂

Hi Shawn great workout for you and the bird's .To many roosters spell trouble. And all little skinny birds won't to do is fly. Both are problems.

Just remember regarding the wild turkey, that they can join your flock, but you can’t process her, and it’s illegal to touch her or her eggs or poults.

I took 5 of my American Breese to the Amish to process for me😊 i roasted two recently. Very tasty. I did have to separate the 5 American Breese roosters they were attacking each other. I too kept a rooster and two hens. I have another 11 AB that are 7 week old. They are getting along with the 3 17 week okd AB. Im excitedly waiting for the hens to start laying. Slowly I am reducing my backyard flock. I

Hey Sean, my dad used to catch his poultry with a long broom handle with a largish cup hook screwed into one end. He then caught them by their leg with the hook. Good luck. 🇦🇺🎸⚡️🤘🏾🤘🏼💋💙💙

Quick question, what was the reason for processing the Bresse hen instead of staying with 3 hens to the 1 rooster? My only guess is you wanted to see if there was a difference in the meat?
