Hi, the rider's weight is also an important data before and after the stage, and more important at the end of the tour. It work precisely as a control of what is consumed in each athlete. This works in such a way that what they lose during the stage they get back and ready for the next stage. Above all, don't exceed the calories, obviously they have their chefs and nutritionists on the bus.

I know this is an old bud but, why don’t you do another one like this but, have 3 or 4 of you all do a two or three day race (TDF like) where one eats like a pro, one eats like an average Joe (store bought bars, gels, like the rest of us), one eats all the wrong things (cakes, sweets, etc) and the last one sticks to only home made bars, snacks, hydration shakes, etc. (test out the theory if home made snacks really that good). With the TDF in full swing and Manon training for that race (good training for her) it would be a good three parter.
