The series should, and probably will be as loved and remembered as well as the series itself, I know it will by me. Thankyou for revisiting this wonderful era. 🤗👍

Another great episode, Leigh! It highlights Roy Clarke's genius that he could create a magnificent cast of characters to supplement the main 'Trio'. Love your insight as well. Going to bookmark this series and watch it often!

i first started watching LOTSW several years ago and now it's a daily treat. brit humor is unlike american humor and quite refreshing. this show actually changed my speech in that i adopted much slang and occasionally omit "the", as in "going to hospital". kinship relations as in your, our and my took awhile but i get it now.

Hey Leigh I remember you mentioning the information posters in Sids Cafe says holmfirth on them I noticed to they mentioned the town name on posters in last of the summer wine
@upstagedbyadog Жыл бұрын
In early episodes most of the posters were for wrestling matches, which would have been popular at the time - as featured on ITV's Saturday afternoon show "World of Sport" (1964-1985). It might have been to avoid making any obvious mention of the town, as the show was filmed in several nearby locations, it was a technically a "fake" town. Later, when the real locations became better known (and as interest in wrestling probably dwindled) different posters for local events featured real town names.

2:44 Wow, I thought you'd forget about Crusher's technicolor-haired girlfriend but you didn't !!! Too bad they didn't add her to the cast when Crusher was still part of the series. Another fantastic episode, I now know Eli's last name thanks to you lol.
