One thing, David. The first child is not always the golden child. You later added that this can fluctuate/change. Mine hated me at birth. She told me I looked like my dad whom she hated. Called me ugly, didn't want me. The second child was her golden child. To this day I have doubts who the father of my brother was. She has told me when I came along they were about to split up. And that she didn't breast feed me (which I instinctively knew somehow) but she breast fed my younger brother. Everything she couldn't take out on my dad (because he was the bread-winner), she took out on me. And golden child could never do no wrong.

So sad she rejected you. The relationship with her Mother would almost certainly dictate this. This is where misogyny is born.

I was the first child .. the accidental one . I spent the best years with my grandparents .at 3 I remember being sat on a windowsill waiting my my ‘dad’ whom I sure she knew wasn’t coming . I never forgot that .

I can say this. Mostly all of em operate from the same playbook..AND when they manipulate and condition your playbook out of you..practically without even realizing it at the time because you ARE in the Fog they PLACE you in..AND you know nothing about what is happening yet...Strap in. You're in for a helluva ride... Remember if you have to Google your partner's strange behavior. That's a giant red flag right there..that's probably why most of us ARE even here watching these Very helpful VIDEOS that practically saved my LIFE...

Excellent point, when we have to investigate and search for explanations and answers about who are partner is, we are already in trouble.

Hey David. Great to see another vid you dropped. I feel these personality disorders are truly a "spiritual" thing. The more I see the "evil" in these people the more I am inclined to see it as a spiritual influence. There is a verse in the bible that says: "The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy." (John 10:10) "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." (Ephesians 6:12) I only speak for myself, but since I have now adopted these highly applicable warnings and applied them to these people, it has helped immensely..and gives me some explanation other than just the psychological (which I appreciate too!) I DO know that these people do NOT have a true connection with "good". I don't mean to get "spiritual" with you all, however, it has helped with my healing journey which has included counselling, not only to be able to make more sense of the narcs endless, dark void and black hearts, but to protect myself from this diabolical evil that exists in these individuals.. Be blessed all. Rosie - Sydney, Australia

Best description I've heard of these types in awhile. Straight to the point. I just wish I hadn't dated so many like this and thought I could save them. Now at 39 I'm trying to figure out what all is wrong with me but at least I've never hurt people on purpose as a hobby. I'm not weak by any means. I can get knocked in the head and fight back trained with Muay thai. I can do all kinda things that hurt but haven't ever felt the kinda pain these hell on earth people have made me witness/feel. I dont cry easily and that seemed to be their goal. I did sit one day and bawl my eyes out and want to just reach in the console and spend a round to the head & call it over with. I'm not proud of that day and glad I haven't and won't ever. Its enough to make a person crazy though and instead of being like,"wow I'm sorry. Damn never meant to push you on purpose that far, I'm really sorry let's fix this." No.... not a fcknchance. They smirk and laugh about it and think up even worse things to do once they see ya still have some fight left in ya. If you are with a person this way, please leave em asap... they aren't going to get better. They will make it where you can't though. Hell isn't a place we go when we die. The gate has been left open and all the demons 😈 are here. They call you fam, babe or bro... careful out there yall.

I could give you 10k examples from parents to wife of everything you spoken about. Been in this mess for 28 years in marriage. Videos like yours are what opened my eyes. I'm out this year, just planning and setting up my exit. One thing my parents, nor my wife have ever done or will ever do, break me. Gaslighting on another level, doesn't sway my memories or my resolve. I kept my sanity in the worst situations you could imagine. Thank you for your videos and help piecing things together.

Hi David ❤ This video resonated with my pass experience. I WAS LITERALLY MARRIED TO HIS MOTHER She did everything in her power to take my daughter away from me . Give her everything I could never afford. Very very painful experience. I'm so grateful that I meet a nice boy and he helped me get away , we've been married for over 25 years now . His mother was great , never had any issues with her at all . Sadly the damaged was done to my daughter she always run to the Granny from hell because of the money and the freedom to do what she want . Thank you for this amazing video ❤❤❤❤❤❤

Thanks Dave recently came across your channel. You've described the Covert Narc woman down to a Tee. Both my Parents are Covert Narcs including my brother who was the Golden Child to our Mum, but from my Dad's point of view me & my brother where both bad. My Dad would rarely hit my brother but often beat me. The reason for this was because my mother hated & despised me she would make shit up about me. Whenenever my Dad got home from a very frustrating & stressful day at work. More often than not my Dad would come home from work raging inside and my mum would quietly whisper to my Dad, telling him about how bad I had been the whole day. Just my presence in the house whilst my dad was at work use to trigger her. I've also worked with many female work colleagues who are lazy, entitled Covert Narcs. There personalities are very different but they all hide behind a mask & the mask often slips. They are always about getting one over on you & they hate it when you are recieving positive feedback from other people. I've worked with both male & female Covert Narcs for many years now & it literally makes you feel like you have become one yourself. In the work place they always get away with murder. They are mostly late for work & the first ones to finish everyday even when there work isn't completed. All they know is me, me, me, & take, take, take, take.

OMG you just described the husband that I’m aware of totally down the rabbit hole of abuse from the wife who fakes the I just want to save our marriage and so concerned because she doesn’t want anyone else to take advantage of him when it’s obvious that it’s his SS and pension she’s waiting for. You nailed it 👍

This is how my mom is. I am an only child. I fluctuated between a golden child and an outcast. At 60 i fully see the damage done. Ive been married three times the first 2 were narcissists. Then my current husband came along and he is the most beautiful soul God ever made. So i am blessed. And my mother, still toxic to the core. I feel so broken sometimes, because i dont have a mom, in a real sense of the word.

51 years old and had world turned up side down in my 40s when I learned about all this Grew up with step mom since 8 years old who is 100 % Narcassistic My father still married to her. She actually his aunt through marriage. My mom has differed from mental illness my entire life watched her try to commit suicide 3 times by age of 14. I have no relationship with either one. This is my time to help others understand that our parents are only people. We make mistakes of putting them on pedestal. They make mistakes and with my father ....I pray his soul goes straight up once God decides his purpose is done. I know her soul will not. It will perish to dust. Love you dad no matter what....I hope you are doing well in Mexico 🇲🇽 xoxo

Great timing David. They blame their husbands for their children's obesity whilst they stuff the children with sugar and salt laced food. They inflict their addictions onto their children and take zero accountability for the harm this causes.Others starve the children. Its everyone else's fault bar them. They will triangulate their siblings and their own children. Its gross...

One thing that I found helpful in this video is the outlook for them as they age. I'm 6 months no contact after leaving a covert narcissist. Healing and sorting through the damage has been an interesting road. It helps to think about what the future would've been like with this person. It lends a bit of strength to my decision to walk away when I feel stuck battling self-doubt. Thank you.
