The Toyota TS020 in Gran Turismo 7 | Gran Turismo 7 Custom Projects Set 3 Episode 1

Here it is, the first episode of Gran Turismo Custom 7 Projects Set 3. The Toyota TS020 Race Car, an absolutely iconic car to the history of Gran Turismo remade in GT7, as close as we can anyway.
This video showcases the car and details the steps I took to build it in GT7, including parts fitted and tuning settings before concluding with a brief discussion on how the car performs.

Hey everyone, If you're watching this after 1.44, Polyphony added the actual Toyota TS020 Race Car to the game, which kind of makes this build less relevant. Still, I would appreciate it if you tried it anyway since I think it's still a fun build, and hey, at least this one is in the right group. I suppose gearing to 370 means just that, the 6th gear ratio and max-RPM combination WOULD allow you to go 370, but then there's drag/downforce. Modern race cars are much more engineered toward downforce, after all, so who's to say how the calculations are done in the game for that specific thing (those downforce adjustment sliders aren't really labeled in a meaningful manner. What is "Lv. 2000"?). To a lesser extent, there's also the likelihood that manufacturers/teams were lying about official power figures, understating generally. Though not nearly as much as to make up the difference between 210 and 230mph, obviously.

Assume you've tried dropping the downforce? I can't imagine the 1999 car had downforce similar to max downforce on the TS030.

Yeah, it might be a bit unrealistic, but I think it's worth it to have superior handling. Plus, if I recall correctly, the car had very high default downforce values in Gran Turismo 2 and 6, but yeah, the downforce is possibly a little high.
