Hello! I'm a dental student and I can tell you that people can live with impacted wisdom teeth and not feel any pain. Usually these teeth are removed to prevent the pain or to cure the existing pain. Maybe he didn't want his teeth removed when he was first presented with diagnosis and wanted to wait until they started hurting; and it is also a possibility that he never experienced any symptoms (each case is very different). Hope this helped!

Same here. My wisdom teeth erupted when I was around 21 and they hurt really bad for a few months and my front teeth got slightly more crowded. My wisdom teeth are all VERY impacted but have since stopped hurting completely and I'm 30 now. The only annoying thing about them is food gets trapped inbetween and it's harder to floss and brush them. My dentist told me when the nubs of them started forming in my gums and that I should get them out when he spotted them on an xray but I was and still am too scared to do it =/ they keep telling me to at every check up but otherwise my teeth are in great condition and I've never had a cavity

@seinarukishi9228 That is not the case. Police should be able to read a scene from a neutral position but also observe from a point of logic and reason. The man is calm and collected, but is also bigger and stronger than his fiance. The woman is crying profusely and blaming herself for everything even after she admits he hit her. Witnesses that called it in clearly said they saw him hit her. I'll tell you that standard police proceedure in my old town was to at least separate couples for one to two nights to allow a cooling down period. These officers ignored obvious warning signs of abuse and did nothing to try to diffuse a potential volatile situation. My hometown cops would have also likely arrested them both for assault because of their admission, by the way. True, this might not have actually saved her life in the long run but could have given her time to consider her options. Hindsight is also clearer then what is seen in the moment.

Forcing her to climb into the van through the window just so that she at least knows where her van is going and what it is being used for even if she can’t influence any of that. The police threaten to charge Gabby for attempting to steal the van! A van that she owns! Like, what!? If any of the officers had even attempted to be impartial I feel like that things could have gone very differently. This all happened right as I was making peace with the abusive ex from 6 years prior. I was glued to the case, I saw so many things that people that weren't in that kind of situation don't see as clearly. The body came video was absolutely textbook... I am still livid. For what it's worth, Brian didn't have to tell her to lie. It's all too common to protect our abusers. I think it's most likely that Brian had Gabby questioning her own reality before that day, that's how abusers keep us around. From that perspective - she either didn't believe he started it, blamed herself for the escalation, or intentionally downplayed his side of things because "he's trying so hard not to do this anymore." Just another perspective of course. I also realized how close to being killed I was while following Gabby's story. I can't remember who it was, but someone covering the call that said they saw him grab her throat brought up a statistic- when an abuser strangles you, even just once, the risk of the victim being killed by said abuser goes up to 1 in 10. I was strangled to the point of blacking out on at least 3 occasions (my memory from that time in my life will never be clear due to the trauma). I wasn't just being abused like I thought, I was actually at risk of being killed and it didn't even dawn on me. Anyone reading this that's looking for a sign: this is it. Get out. Don't wait. I was so lucky that me shutting down and dissociating made him leave instead of physically attack me. Please take care of yourself- you ARE important, you DO matter, and you WILL be loved by other people. There is nothing a person can do to deserve this, it is not your fault.

Hi. I'm glad you're doing okay. I was dealing with the same. My ex convinced everyone around me (and me, unfortunately) that I was overly sensitive, a mood-kill, high maintenance, and hard to be around. I would excessively apologize, freeze up every time he made a very distinct face at me when I "overshared" or was "too loud," and knew that after every get together, the second we were alone, he'd yell at me for doing something wrong/making him look bad. I truly believed I was worthless, and I begged and pleaded for him to love me and stay with me because I didn't believe I deserved better. I'm so glad I'm out now, and I'm so horrified about how bad of a person he really was/is. I still see him in some of my acquaintances lives and I wonder how little they really know. I've made so many great friends since who daily reinforce that I am so loved and a blast to be around. I still wonder if I'm actually annoying, or if I'm not loveable (haven't had a bf since this ex... I feel lonely a lot), but it's 1000x better than when I was in that relationship. Everyday it gets better. Everyday I learn I'm worthy of love. But man, it's soo hard to see how someone could fall into that type of relationship until it happens to you. It is so so so scary.

The killer would have to be within arms length and right up in their face while ending their life. They are typically looking right into someone's eyes and watching the life drain from their face until they are done. And it's not a quick act. It takes a decent amount of time, otherwise, the victim just passes out and will wake up later. Long after they quit fighting for their life, they have to continue to squeeze the air out of them. I am inclined to think that Brian is still alive solely from the behavior of his parents. Consider: 1.) The first thing they did was take him on a "camping trip", which got him away and was a good excuse for him to have supplies packed. 2.) The family was incredibly obstructive and unhelpful, then suddenly began cooperating. I'd bet good money they were stalling and began to cooperate when they were sure he'd had a sufficient head start. 3.) As was noted, it makes no sense that Brian's parents just *happened* to find his corpse like that, but let's pretend we buy it. After the parents did everything in their power to hide their son, he apparently committed suicide. This would have gone against everything they did. Not only does it make them the least likely ones to find the body (as they would have had no reason to search for it), but I'm sure they would have had very loud, very public grief-stricken reactions. But his corpse was just... found. I don't remember much follow-up. Almost as if it was being brushed aside. I wonder if the FBI is is watching the family to see if they are in contact with Brian. Side note, but that "confession" note reminds me in the worst possible way of the way Brock Turner claimed things really went on the night he was caught assaulting an unconscious woman, which the woman he assaulted described as sounding like "a poorly written young adult novel."

I study forensic anthropology and I just want to add in some info about some of these things - I apologize for the long comment but I felt like I could provide some insight. 1) Age estimation can definitely provide those broad age ranges and depending on the examiner you may have slightly different opinions on where an individual falls in that age range and that chronological age (how old you are in life) can vary greatly from the skeletal age (how old your bones look) depending on different life style factors and existing conditions. That being said the Milner technique isn't mentioned at all in my human osteology textbook. And from a cursory search it seems that the method has mixed results in terms of accuracy and precision. I'll have to look into it a bit more to give a clearer idea of how it stands. On the other hand, the age estimation techniques of Lovejoy, Meindl, Man, Iscan, and Suchy-Brooks are some of the most reliable with high accuracy and precision rates and they are what we are trained to use. Additionally, you never use only a single age estimation method as different areas of the body can be more prone to larger age ranges than others or even completely different age ranges because of human variation. 2) Technically you could identify someone using dental records even with several teeth missing, however they would have to have very unique dentition and dental work for that to be possible. 3) While water slows the decomposition process, once it is removed from the water the rate of decomposition will increase, especially in a place like Florida. That being said, it's a very short time frame for the alleged level of decomposition. Technically possible but not very likely 4) If there was animal scavenging from basically any animal, his body shouldn't have been intact. Full stop. While its not clear if intact means all of his remains were recovered in a small area or if his body was basically complete in the same position he died, I interpret "intact" in the second way. After ~5 weeks out there? His remains would've been scattered and many unrecoverable. Especially if they are alleging coyote/canine predation. Coyotes have been known to take bones relatively far distances and into dens. The minute the water level fell enough, coyotes would be on that fast. There's definitely something weird going on. Either the reports and examinations have been done by someone who has never studied forensic anthropology or pathology in their life or that's not Brian Laundrie.
@sourgreendolly76852 жыл бұрын

Whenever they claim to “lose control” what they really mean is THEY lost control OVER their victim and that’s what caused their angry outburst and subsequent decision to use violence to regain that lost control. Killing their victim is the ultimate expression of their power and control over them, especially when their victim has proven to finally be beyond all their previous methods of control.

Like the rest of the world, the body cam footage from the police officers unsettled me. That constant apologizing through crying while the boyfriend remained cool and collected was all too familiar to me. I was never in a domestic abusive relationship (and I’m not trying to make an claims that what I went through is worse or anything. Just wanted to share my experience) but I was in a long term emotionally abusive relationship with a narcissist. While the relationship “officially” ended 4 years ago, he finally started leaving me alone 2 years ago, and all the stuff he’s said to me, the way he would twist things for his benefit still effects me now. Towards the end of us having contact, when he noticed his hold on me was really slipping, and I demanded he leave me alone and asked why he treated me the way he did, he finally said it. It was cause I let him. I’m still working through his abuse in therapy now, so if you’re also a victim reading this, it’s not your fault. I know it’s hard To not think it, I still struggle with this now, but hopefully with time we can get through this, Anyway, because of what I went through I noticed the same signs everyone else did. My stomach was in knots seeing all this play out in the news cause I could just feel it in my body that this mf abused her, murdered her, and was now getting away with it. It’s also unsettling how I’m not the only person who believes he’s not dead. When that news broke that they found his body, it just didn’t make any sense to me, but the case was really triggering for me, so I had to stop looking into this story for my own mental health. It kept messing with my progress in therapy. But in the back of my mind I kept thinking it. He’s not dead. He got away with it. I tried pushing those thoughts out cause since I was avoiding looking into the story I kept reassuring myself that there’s more info out there that would probably explain why he’s really dead. I’m just now able to come back to this story. And to see others also believe he got away with it…..just heartbreaking. Gabby you deserved so much better. I hope wherever you are, you feel safe. Brian and his family (except his sister) Karma will get you. The rest of the world may not get to see it, but it will happen. And you’ll deserve it.

The police couldn't arrest Brian because at that time they had no probable cause. One of the Northport Police officers said they couldn't just arrest Brian because he was only a person of interest, not a suspect. They had no proof he had committed a crime yet. If they did arrest and charge him with a crime after 30 days they would have release him and he couldn't be charged with that crime again unless new evidence came to light. And he could sue them for false arrest. The police have to follow the laws. Rule 3.134 of the Florida Rules of Criminal Procedure.

Hi Aidan! I'm a masters student with an honors degree in Forensic Anthropology who has assisted with actual forensic cases as we were trained using cold cases and assited with active ones. I nearly laughed out loud when you said the remains were found underwater, skeletonized and had carnivore predation marks. While not completely mutually exclusive, as you said, carnivores don't eat prey underwater. Also it is infinitesimally unlikely that no soft tissue would have been present on the body - not with how little time had passed from his date of going missing to the discovery. I can go on, but we'd be here all day. As for the corrections - Depending on exactly what test you are using, corrections are made. However! This is done as part the analysis and not after the fact. The age estimate is very suspicious. Age estimates are hard, because so much affects the appearance of your skeleton. But rule of thumb for age estimates is that under 18 have smaller age ranges than 25+ because we go through predictable growth as children. Once you hit 25 ish you stop growing and start degrading. Unless you're using a very shitty, won't hold up in court style test, there should be no need for corrections. We have FORDISC and strict age estimation tools available for a reason. The most horrific part of this is that an actual body was found. It might not be the Brian's, but who is it then? And why in all seven hells are the police and scientists in on it. Side note: I've just discovered your channel and I am so glad to have done so. You speak of the victims so humanely and passionately. Thank you.

I doubt you’ll see this comment since I’m 6 months late to the party, but I found your analysis fascinating. I know nothing about decomposition, but I didn’t want to just take a random KZbinr’s word for it that a body doesn’t fully decompose in that short amount of time. I asked my gf (who is a nurse) about it-and even though she doesn’t know much about the topic, she was like, “I can’t, for the life of me, think that the tissue would break down that quickly.” Although, one thing I haven’t heard mentioned from anyone is the temperature of the water. This was in Florida in September/October. Wouldn’t the water be pretty warm during this time? And if so, wouldnt that accelerate the decomposition process?

I think you make some really compelling points here. I’m with you 100% on the Laundries at a minimum knew something bad had happened to Gabby when he returned without her. However, my reservation is with how the Laundries would have gotten a false body to stage in place of Brian. I’m not saying it’s impossible, especially if they are wealthy, It just sounds like it would be difficult. Then again, it could be a-lot easier than I realize I’m not sure. Secondly, whenever the feds aren’t able to find someone, I always attribute it first to incompetence above anything else. Especially dog the bounty hunter was seemingly able to find evidence that the fbi was not.
@xenophagia2 жыл бұрын
I agree. It's highly unlikely, almost impossible, that they would have been able to fake Brian's death. However, I think the Laundrie's were trying to do everything in their power to help Brian get away with it, but ultimately realized that there wasn't much they could do besides bide him some time and help him fabricate a bs story in an attempt to lessen the blow to both Brian's and the Laundrie family name before he took that "hike" to The Big Sleep.

Or... The family is CIA/mafia connected and they had help. The evidence that that's not Brian's body is too strong. Something's rotten in Denmark with this whole case. Are we even certain that it was Gabby's body that was found, or are we taking the fucking FBI on their word? It's a little too weird too that Gabby was an early teen actor in a video tribute to the Sandy Hook victims. And remember the murdered lesbian couple in Moab that was brutally raped before being killed exactly when Brian was in town? Local police said they'd investigate any connections between the cases, especially since witnesses said the couple described a "creepy man walking around in the woods" literally that night right before they were murdered. The state police jumped right in and said, "There is no connection!" How would they know so fast, and without any other explanation? You can't really prove a negative. Yeah, Brian was too confident, his family intensely sketchy. This whole thing is bigger than them, in my opinion. Ever heard of the Johnny Gosch case?

I called my director and asked her to check up on my friend since I was stuck with my kids and I saw them talking later. I told the director that she was like hysterically sobbing but apparently by the time they talked, she had calmed down and she thought everything was okay and just moved on. Bombed with love and adoration, until it slowly gets worse and worse and they snap, beating or screaming the victim, then swear up and down it’ll never happen again bc and shower them with love. That is the cycle of abuse, and it is extremely strong and hard to recognize and leave. Right after being grabbed, she was still convinced he loved her. I have no doubt he pushed her into snapping against him and used it against her so he could come off as a saint, and likely showered her with love afterwards for taking the blame. If people could simply ‘have a strong will and leave’ abuse, very few people would die from domestic violence. But unfortunately that’s not how our brains work. A lot of the time, people need outsiders to call out the behaviors and help them recognize the abuse, which unfortunately, the one group that likely could’ve saved her, the cops, failed to recognize, or if they did recognize it, address it. I think the Laundrie's were definitely trying to find a way to get Brian off the hook in whatever way they possibly could. First, with their sleazeball lawyer, but realized that the body would be found soon, they're running out of time, and that getting him off the hook legally wasn't an option. Then, working in a rush, they tried to find a way to get Brian out of the country ASAP, but found that they wouldn't be able to pull it off, and that the furthest they'd be able to get him is to the local wildlife reserve (which is pitiful and hilarious). So they covered for Brian, biding him time, while he went "hiking" at said wildlife reserve and helped him fabricate a "confession" of events in a futile attempt to lessen the blow to the names (soon to be memory for one) of both Brian, and the Laundrie family as a whole, before he took that pathetic "hike" to *The Big Sleep.* Personally, I don't think that the creator of this video's opinion of Brian faking his death with the help of his parents and lawyer, and what they would have had to do to accomplish that, is feasible at all. Nor is it realistic. I think the Laundrie's would have realized that too. Regardless, this video was well done (unlike the Laundrie's attempt at getting their son off the hook or saving face), and I very much appreciate how the creator distinguished his opinions/theories from the known facts.
@Cyhort182 Жыл бұрын
I think it would really depend on the money they had and what kind of contacts the parents, or more likely the lawyer, had. The video doesn't mention where Brian's parents work or what their financial situation was. Just from the picture of the house and them living in Florida, is doesn't look like they were rolling in cash. Middle class, maybe upper middle depending on the neighborhood. But I can't imagine a lawyer helping them fake a death or smuggle someone out of the country without a lot of money involved (which would be traceable by the FBI, so if that happened it's more likely that charged will be filed in the future) or some kind of close personal ties to the family. It's not easy to get out of the country unseen. The easiest way to get to a place like Iceland or Cyprus would probably be to go across the Canadian border and get a ship from there, but again you need, at the very least, fake ID and money. So, depending on money and contacts, the likeliness of faking his death and fleeing the country goes up or down. I do agree with you though, the most likely explanation is his mom either helped or encouraged him to commit suicide, probably to keep her own involvement with covering up his murder from coming to light. From the info in the video, she seems like just as much of a psychopath as her son, maybe even more so. As for the impacted wisdom teeth thing, some people have insanely high pain tolerances. Living with chronic pain can also effect people's moods, so if he had been in that much pain for so long, that could be one reason why he was quick to anger and quick to violence, in addition to whatever else that was wrong with him that would make him the kind of person who would do what he did.

As someone who has been in abusive relationships before, as someone who has been there and felt stupid and made excuses for my partner's awful behavior and minimized the abuse to people who were worried about me; if you are in that situation, you are worth so much more than how they are treating you. And the people who are expressing their concerns about your partner, they aren't criticizing you for being with them, they are trying to reach out to you. Please, please let them. Don't let your partner make you think that everyone is your enemy out to separate you because you don't think they understand. Please keep an open mind and listen to what they are telling you, even if you still need time to process it. I know you feel like your partner is your entire world right now, but believe me, that's not love, or the honeymoon phase. That's by their design. They want to make you feel small and isolate you from your loved ones so that you feel like you have to cling to them more. And the romantic thoughts and feelings that feel so wonderful are your brain riding the euphoric endorphins you get when you're around them. Which feels great. But they make you want to overlook the bad things they do. The good feelings make you want to forget the mean remarks, or the emotional neglect, or the complete steamrolling of your opinions and feelings. The good feelings make you feel like you can endure the bad stuff as long as there's more good feelings eventually. But the truth is that the good feelings will only get fewer and far between. They will drain every bit of your kindness and patience and understanding and leave you an empty husk of who you used to be. Eventually you just stop having the energy to disagree with them on things anymore. You just want to go along with whatever they say because you just want to prevent another blowup and just let it be a calm peaceful day as best as you can. After that you realize, no matter how small you make yourself, no matter how much you try to cater to them and compensate and soothe them, and make excuses for them and walk on eggshells so that you do everything to keep from triggering another blow up from happening; ultimately, it's going to happen again. Inevitably, it's going to happen again. No matter how much you try to accommodate them; you can't control what they do. Because you aren't the problem, their environment isn't the problem, it's not your family or friends or situation. It's your partner. They are the one blowing up. They aren't the one tiptoeing around the house. They aren't the one constantly living with anxiety about what their next action is going to do to you. They are living it up on easy street because they have someone who is willing to bend their entire sense of self around them and their needs and getting paltry effort in return. And if you keep catering to them. Why would they change? They have it good. They have the energy to fight and fight and fight until they get their way. And every time you try to console them, every time you come running begging for their forgiveness, it only reassures them and gives them the relief that you aren't leaving. Their greatest fear and insecurity is that you're going to leave. But that's a problem with them. That's not a problem with you. My ex used to break up with me for no particular reason than because I wouldn't agree with him on every single little thing. This caused me to have panicking sobbing breakdowns begging him to take me back, until eventually he would. He did that to me 3 times and the third time I didn't come back crying on my knees. Instead I asked him, "why break up with me if you don't want want to break up with me??" And he just said "I just wanted to remind you of what you were losing,". That's when I realized, he was intentionally trying to hurt me, so he could feel validated and reassured when I'd come back crying on my knees. He caused me mental and psychological harm on purpose, so that he could feel good about himself that a pretty girl would break down for him. That's when enough was enough. It took all my self control not to text him back and just cut him off because I still loved him then and was hurting. But that phase doesn't last forever and you never realize just how dark and lost your life is until you get out of it and start living for you again. Do things you like. Make your own choices. Surround yourself with people that make you feel empowered, strong, and supported. Family, friends, community, there are so many support groups there are so many people who have been there and are ready to help you put yourself back together. You are worth effort. You are strong enough. You have always been enough. Every criticism from them was them trying to change you into what they wanted you to be. Not any actual fault of yours. But you should celebrate everything you are, have always been, and will be. You are an individual genuine human experience and your life has innate value just by being here and being you. Don't ever let anyone make you feel like you have to earn it. Abusers take advantage of vulnerable people with low self esteem, which we all get from time to time, we've all been young or naive or wanted to believe in the good in people. That is absolutely positively no fault of yours. What they did to hurt you is 100% on them and 0% on you. If you are with a partner that won't give you space, that won't give you time to think, that won't let you go see friends and relatives alone, or makes you feel bad for wanting to, these are all glaring red flags. Don't discount them. They will continue to pile up and things are not going to get better. YOU CAN'T FIX THEM. ITS NOT YOUR JOB TO FIX THEM. ITS NOT YOUR JOB TO CALM THEM. ITS NOT YOUR JOB TO BE WITH THEM 24/7. They have to want to change. And abusers almost never do. Maybe 5% of abusive people ever seek therapy and even fewer actually change and commit to those changes long term. Real love is NOT "You complete me." Real love is, "I'm fine on my own. But I choose to spend my time with you." If you feel like you can't live without someone, that's a sign you need some space. You are worth effort. And one hit is too many. One blaring argument where you flinch because they are getting that loud and scary, is one too many. You have no idea just how capable you are, you are strong you are powerful you are deserving of love and you deserve to live a long happy life making your own choices and loving yourself. You have that capacity. You just need to reach out and ask for help. You are strong enough, you can do it. I believe in you. Please be safe. Does anyone remember the 911 calls that came from the Laundrie house prior to Brian going missing? I think there were two calls, one for shots being fired. It was quickly dropped by the media when the story got bigger but I've always wondered what was happening.

I love that you included those beautiful pictures of Gabby at the end. We often talk about the perpetrator(s) when it comes to true crime, we remember their names and forget the victims' names or that it's not just about the who, where, why and how of a crime but about the victim who has lost his or her life. And about their loved ones who must be going through a hell I cannot imagine. So thank you for that nice tribute at the end. ❤️

And those cops...🤬 Thank you again and RIP to Gabby, sweet angel girl💜

Fantastic video. I actually don’t think that Brian overtly threatened Gabby to lie and say she was the aggressor, though. I have a feeling their dynamic was so unbearably toxic, and his passive aggressive gaslighting so powerful, that she probably actually believed she was the problem. Sadly, victims being confused, apologetic, guilt-ridden, and chronically blaming so much of the drama on themselves is way more common than victims having an accurate perspective on the relationship and simply feeling afraid/threatened. The stronger the koolaid of thoughts like “I’m the problem,” “s/he’s so kind to ‘put up with’ me - I’m lucky to have them,” “I’m too unlovable - if I leave them, then I’ll be alone forever” are, the harder it is to leave 😔

There was a female park ranger there that day who identified Gabby being in an abusive relationship and talked to her and warned her that if she stayed with that POS Brian something like this would happen and advised her to get away from him immediately. So they did try to help her, she unfortunately made the decision to cover for and trust a psycho. The police didnt have grounds to arrest him after the altercation in Utah because she took the blame and said she hit him first. I know the woman who unknowingly picked up Brian hitch hiking the day before the police released any info on him and she was pretty in the know on the situation as she provided the details on where she dropped him off in the park that eventually led to the body discovery.
