I-VI with crazy concepts like dark side kenobi in exile, redeemed anakin but he lives and gets new suit, BMF Windu of course, so much neat shit haha Star Wars Theory made some vids on it earlier this year check em out some beautiful ideas in there.

Old Republic was never Canon, it was, and still is, on it's own canon timeline. The ONLY video games offically endorsed by Lucas as Canon were Shadows of the Empire and The Force Unleased. It was actually a HUGE deal and the main focus of their marketing that those games where in the same Canon Tier as the Saga Films. There used to be 5 Tiers of Canon and all video games were on their own tier, but everyone seems to think that the entire EU was canon and forgets the Tiered Canon System

Good point Josh, and in the end, I think is easy to say this: Fandoms AND EA are trash. lol, no but seriously it seems to me that some overly disgruntled fans are people who bark and bite, while EA talks and walks away with anything. Most parties just don't know what to do with this property. Yeah, you can be a fan, but you have to think of other factors when making a film, show, comic book, game, and other media. People want major points of a film to be recreated, but forget the minor points to it. I don't think anyone deserves what EA did, but Star Wars fans don't have the best reputation of people to be calm with at a collective scale, but an an individual level it varies from person to person. Some are just fans who have passion for it, and some are religious nutballs that make REAL religions look good.

I know about them because I got to play most of them.

First game I played on the original Xbox, online mode was so fun where you got to defend and capture outposts that grew turrets and eventually raid and destroy enemy outposts and then them while your outposts simultaneously spawned AI walkers to assist you.. :)

I was just thinking about this a week ago, how a new star wars game could be a Republic Commando but set in Empire time. Commanding a squad of storm troopers to smash up rebel bases and do marine work. Just update it a bit, make it four player co-op, cash in on that Rouge One Fandom with the empire tech, and boom. But like you said that would never happen because they wouldn't take the risk on a mature rated game, quality be damned. Great video, btw. Very good.

I always wanted a game where you play as a Nova Trooper. They could even make a game about a unit of death troopers, a team of rebel commandos without plot armor, a squad of stormcommandos, a squad of shadow troopers, etc. Star Wars has so much potential with so many sub-factions to fight from old lore or any new faction you could make and squeeze into thfe lore.

X-Wing, TIE Fighter, and X-Wing Alliance are the best Star Wars games that I have ever played. KOTOR 1 and 2 are great as well, but nothing immersed me in the SW universe as much as the X-Wing series. The missions, the structure, the storylines...everything about those games is epic. X-Wing was what made me drop $2000 on a goddamn 486 DX2 66mhz PC with a giant 15 inch monitor and a whopping 8MB of ram. It also had a HUGE hard drive...thing was 250MB. My pal was envious and was like "What the hell do you need 250 megabytes of space for???" "Super Star Wars" and that crap was hilarious. Don't get me wrong, Super Star Wars perfectly simulated the movie where Luke murdered Jawas and jumped into the air collecting coins. Well, those were the deleted scenes right?

Starnick Yeah, sounds dumb but I'll say it...for a while The Liberty was 'home'. Still remember the day I destroyed the second Death Star at the Battle of Endor. I did it around 4pm on a cloudy Tuesday. I had to work at 6pm and i went in with a huge smile on my face. My pal came in, took one look at me and noticed that I was playing the Return of the Jedi soundtrack (we worked in a record store) and he goes "You blew up the Death Star!" LOL That was a good day. People ask me who my fav droid is in Star Wars and I always say Em-Kay. "Who?" ;)

That's a great story! I don't remember the day, but I was home sick. Up until that point I tried, and failed, a few attempts on navigating the death star tunnels. I fired the game up, didn't care if I lived or died....and made the run in one try. Honestly, I didn't care much for Em-Kay. But I thought the family dynamic and older brother/sister were great. Tie Fighter and XWA, its amazing just how well written those games were.

Even with the MCU , which has made more money than Star Wars at this point, all they have are a few terrible games based on the first few movies and nothing else. I wish Disney had just allowed certain studios the Star Wars license for particular Star Wars games and not given everything to EA.

Couldn't agree more about Jedi Knight - JK2JO was my favourite game for most of my childhood as both a twitch shooter (CTF matches online say no more), sword fighting game (dueling and kf/ff) and pretty stellar singleplayer. Would never want EA to dirty the series with their filthy hands

Jedi Outcast is such a good game. I hop on multiplayer just about every single day of the week even if it's pretty much empty. If you have the game, you should play MP if you get the chance. It's still fun. The dark times game could be OK... I have a little faith in respawn because the Titanfall games are pretty... not bad... but I hope you get to play as a jedi on the run from clones. Could be cool.

On the movie front TLJ is better than any of the prequels and is at minimum on par with the original trilogy - the cinematography, directing, acting, and script are all better, and it has an actual theme and message this time around, so it has a serious point to it beyond mindless fun. I love the original trilogy, but looking at them as films and not "things I love" they aren't the peak of cinematic history, and TLJ outperforms all of them.

It's just a bad, stupid script. The directing, fine, whatever. The only SW movie with good direction is Empire. With the exception of Mark Hamill, the acting ranges between atrocious and acceptable. Rogue One is a much better movie than TLJ.

STOCKHOLM I personally prefer _'X-Wing'_ over _'TIE Fighter'_ but, it has nothing to do with TIE's not having shields (and btw, some do). The X-Wing is simply my favorite SW spacecraft and I prefer the game's simplicity. _'TIE Fighter',_ (which is also great as well as _'XW vs. TF'_ and _'Alliance'_ ) was more advanced and got more technical (not to mention, the version I have is glitched and because of that, super difficult and frustrating).
