It can be also from secular and extra Biblica recordings for the scribes were like journalists or archivists, they wrote down and recorded birth and death certificates, and many important business documents, any records of importance or news worthy events The ancients kept news stories and scriptures on scrolls they recorded the real important events. like births and deaths on stone tablets, the details were meticulously written down like today, all deaths are recorded with names birth dates, how old they where etc. So I heard some years ago, that the birth and death certificates of Jesus have been found it records who His parents were and where He was born even the date and it wasn't on Dec. 25th thats just a tradition, but the scriptures say the time of year He was born it says the Shepherds were still out in the fields with their sheep at night, no Shepherd is still out with their sheep at night in winter time in Palestine or anywhere for that matter the sheep are in their sheep fold, for the winter for there is no pasture to graze on in winter, so He was born in early fall not sure the exact date I didn't save the video will have to try to find it again.
