rgg gtv actually her dad had a hand in it if i remember correctly, and he did somewhat manage her. everyone wanted her to cancel shows to better herself but he didn’t agree. blake played the biggest hand in it though. they were “pain twins” and that is a dangerous relationship.

There are a lot of things about her life that remind me a lot of the life of Janis Joplin and they died at the same age. Both of them were singing in a way that white girls at the time were not singing. They were both addicts they both drank too much and used too much heroin but both deep inside just wanted to be loved and you know they were admired by millions, they never felt like anyone truly loved them for them.

Attended her concert 3 months before her death. She completely forgot the words to rehab, kept drinking from a mug the whole time, she kept missing lines, slurring , and wobbled on stage. She decided to sit on a speaker throughout her set. It was such sad moment. People were quite and looked worried, as was I.

she also had severe bulimia all her life which played a huge part in her death, her body was so fragile it couldn't take all the drugs and shut down. Bulimia is a serious mental and physical health issue and needs to be spoken about more, people think you can't die from it but the implications it brings can easily cause death.

@@talie3578 it's so sad also because it wasn't included in her cause of death. Sufferers could get help easier and many lives would be saved. But sadly no one took her eating disorder seriously :(

@sozboy1 5 жыл бұрын
I never said Adele wasn’t talented, don’t put words in my mouth. Adele would have been successful anyway but Amy deserves credit (which Adele has given her) in terms of HOW BIG Adele has obviously gone. Back to Black came out in 2006, Adele had two records out in the 5 years following whereas Amy had none. The anticipation for Amy inevitably leaned towards Adele because Amy hadn’t put an album out. So Amy had already brought hype to UK artists while she was alive.

Amy was a friend of mine. Not a close friend mind you, but we talked quite a bit. I had approached her to do an interview and she had literally no interest, however she was more than willing to just talk as a person. She was sweet, she was funny, but she also was lonely. In my time with her she seemed to be a bit like a little kid alone at home waiting for their parent to come home; she’d get upset and concerned if I went too long without replying, assuming I abandoned her. When I saw the things the press was saying about this woman I knew I was angry and heart broken. It was so one dimensional, so condescending, and so shitty as all of the papers just wanted to cover the same things. She deserved understanding and kindness as that’s what she brought to the table.

@@Hi-qe9gt i think its a mix of both of them like her father mitch seemed very fame and money hungry. Like when Amy was on holiday to Barbados trying to get away from the paparazzi and also as her way of rehabilitating herself. Mitch decided to tell the press where she was and also told amy to pose for photos and he also was encouraging her to go back on tour even when she even knew herself that she wasn't a hundred percent in the mind state to do that. Personally I found mitch to be a horrible father to her and absolutely asshole however, I do think blake was also a big part of her downfall aswell.

Both Blake and her dad...They both wanted to profit Amy in life and death. But Blake, was really the one who sent her to an early grave, smh... He introduced her to hard drugs, starting with heroin! And coke / crack later. Really, what kind of person does that? Especially knowing how frail she was ( because she was bulimic ). 🤦🏻‍♀️
@Hi-qe9gt
@Hi-qe9gt 5 жыл бұрын
Catherine Vaz she was an alcoholic before she met blake and by the time she died she was sober from crack cocaine/heroin for years. the only thing in her system was lethal amounts of alcohol. Alcoholism can be just as devastating as opiate addiction. Amy was an addict before she met blake and the trauma in her childhood caused that. Blake was a piece of shit but amy was found comfort in dysfunction due to her father abandoning her, if her and blake didn’t get together, she would’ve found another ‘blake’. As someone who’s struggled with addicted, i know that i’m culpable for using, if someone didn’t ‘introduce ‘ me to drugs i would’ve found them in some way and at some point.

The sad thing is we all witnessed her spiral from the very beginning. It became obvious she was doomed a while before her death. It wasn’t a question of if she would die, but when. It was really just the public (or part of it) that thought she was a joke cause from the moment frank came out up until the day she died she was viewed as an absolute talented musical genius by both critics and fellow artists… some artists have the masses on their side but lack the acceptance and liking from experienced critics and fellow musical legends, some are critically acclaimed but lack the public to be considered a legend, Amy at one point was able to fully balance it out being viewed as a legend by both, which is not only revealing of her talent but also extremely difficult to accomplish.

Everyone blames Blake for her demise and he was no doubt an enabler and contributed to her rampant drug abuse, however HER father Mitch was the catalyst to her destruction. Amy was his cash cow, she wrote Rehab while in the throughs of alcoholism and he missed a pivotal moment in her life to intervene and get her some help. The way the media treated her was disgusting, she was a bulimic in addition to being an heavy addict. Her bulimia caused such long term damage to her heart and its speculated that THATs what killed her
