This is the best interview I have ever seen! Anthony Mason did his homework and asks excellent questions seamlessly, creating a beautiful, respectful narrative. And Dolly is just an amazing person. She is humorous, humble, real, talented, truly exceptional, kind and generous. This is fantastic.

It’s nice to have an interviewer who really knows his subject. So many of her interviewers are so surface. They resort to the same tired questions she’s already been asked 1000 times. This interviewer comes to it with greater depth and appreciation and curiosity. It reminds me of the podcast she did. She really is worthy of these deeper questions by someone who knows her enough to point out the points of strangeness and wonder. Fascinating ❤

The two impressions I get when in in Dollywood or listening to Dolly Parton is kindness, and smarts. She just a natural star.

It is so refreshing to hear someone say thank you when offered a compliment. So many people respond to compliments like, "oh I'm not bad for ..." or "well, I don't know about that". A simple thank you means so much.

it is SO nice to see an interviewer show Dolly the respect she deserves and not ask her stupid personal questions that she is uncomfortable sharing. I love it when she gets excited, talks faster, and her voice gets higher. God only knows baby, God only knows! Long live Dolly Parton! 🧡🧡

Yes, I kept thinking, "She's really enjoying this." For other interviews, she's always been polite, smiling, and respectful, but I haven't sensed that doing those were true pleasures for her like this one seems to be. Also, Anthony Mason did an excellent job of asking questions that caused her to articulate a lot that I don't think she's ever discussed/detailed like she does here. His questions and demeanor have made me a new fan of his.

Job well done to the people who worked on this project, it was truly beautiful! I’m not a “fan” of many superstars but I so admire her and all she has done. She’s a wonderful writer, singer, actress, community supporter, philanthropist, etc. But I admire the most is that she is authentic human being and fame has not changed her. She’s seems so down to earth and genuine!! I hope some day to get to Dollywood. You know when people ask you what person you would most like to have lunch with dead or ALIVE. Dolly is the person I would choose!! 💕 She’s like a close friend everyone wishes they had, me included. God bless this wonderful human being. Wish more people were like her!! 😊🙏🏼💕🦋

Dolly is a lesson in hard work and endurance. I grew up in the 70’s and she was everywhere on evening TV. All the variety shows seemed to have her on at some point. I remember she was looked down on - her appearance overrode her talent in the eyes of so many. I remember people considered her a bit of a joke. She knew what she was all about though and didn’t let public opinion stifle her creativity. Through years of hard work and perseverance, she showed everyone that the joke was on them. Love to see her still going strong 50 yers later.

The best angel story about Dolly, to me, is that even after Porter had sued her and she'd worked so long and hard to pay him one million bucks to settle his lawsuit she came to his rescue years later. Remember, years went by where they wouldn't even appear on the same stage, so there were so hard feelings. Eventually, He had tax problems and went broke. So, to help him get through that, because she loved him and his family, she bought his musical catalog for one million bucks and sold it back to him for one dollar. Only Jesus and Dolly could that.

I once read a comment about Dolly (and I think it was on KZbin). The lady said something similar to this: "I'm glad I got to walk the Earth at the same time as Dolly." Well said - and I agree! My parents were fans of Dolly and I raised my own children as fans. We have visited DollyWood every year for the last 25 years, and each of my grown children have their own loves for her and favorite things about her. She is a treasure. I have seen a lot of interviews with Dolly, but this is a really good one - hats off to Anthony Mason for being kind to her and truly interested in Dolly. Great job.
