I work closely with the original singers of the group as Gerald Levert was a big mentor to them. It's a tragic loss for both brothers but the Levert legacy will live on forever.

Gerald and Sean Levert came from R&B royalty. They were destined 4 greatness, having a father who was part of the legendary R&B group The O'Jays! With Gerald and Sean, plus Marc Gordon, their group Levert became very popular n the music industry. They appeared in the movie New Jack City singing by a makeshift fireplace 2 keep warm. They had a very appealing sound and the look to go with it! Gerald always stood out amongst the group as the sexy, smooth crooner. Gerald and Sean will remain n our hearts 💕 4ever. May they both Rest n Peace. Kudos 2 Marc Gordon 4 keeping the memory of Gerald and Sean alive! Marc and Levert II, we love u and hope u will continue 2 make sweet music or get back 2 it! Good, heart warming, soul touching music like you all made is hard 2 come by anymore.

I remember going to a concert a few years ago with El Debarge, Keith Sweat, Johnny Gill, and Eddie Levert. El gave a tribute to his brothers and then LSG. Levert( Eddie), he sang Gerald's parts. It was sooo Beautiful. I felt it was a Memorial to All. From El and Eddie. "My Forever Love" will Always be my favorite. Just the start of the song is Everything!

First off The O'Jays where my favorite group back in the day. Along with millions of other fans I don't believe another group today, can sing like they did. I lost my daughter to cancer, so I know the pain that he's going through with losing both of his talented Sons. My heart goes out to you Eddie but we must learn to live with the pain until we see them again. Love you love you love you as I did your Sons. You make sure to continue taking care of yourself and I'd love to hear another song or album from you. May God continue to bless you.

Eddie has to live with not returning his son's call. Wow! Why did the guards take Sean's meds from him? That jail killed him because he needed his meds! Sad sad sad🕊

I think the guards were just following protocols that were in place at the time.

@Aretha- they cannot administer medication if the inmate is not in the hospital ward..... it's protocol to take all possessions upon entry to jail or prison. However, they were aware he needed medical attention and didn't act which lead to the withdrawals that would later cause his demise. Very sad, yet happens more often than discussed.

You cover these stories with such tenderness and class. As an addict in recovery (13 years clean!😊) I appreciate how you use the term "substances" rather than naming them or making speculations. Truly one of the very best on KZbin. I'd love to see you get a Netflix show- I'm betting you'd be an incredible interviewer too! As always, thank you for the work you put in!💖

Congratulations on your sobriety! People make fun of us for using of the word “substances,” not realizing that it is used out of respect for the artists and their families ❤️❤️ Thanks for watching!
