"we're living in part 4" and the explanation that followed really struck a chord. Kane is clearly very talented and knowledgeable at telling touching stories through memorable media.

I damn right broke up crying at the end. The very idea of a ghost that is scared of being forgotten, struck me to the heart. And i love how how the creepiness just dissapear when you rewatch the video with this new mindset.

The map scene was a dead giveaway he was in an alternate timeline. The fact he looks around at his surroundings not for the monster, but to try and remember if everything looks the same. I only caught that fact after reading the comments. Its such a small thing to miss haha.

With regards to Wyatt's injured left arm. There was a brief moment where he slammed his right arm into a wall during his sprint through the hallways. If he is a mirrored/flipped version of himself, that injury would now be to the left arm.

My theory is that when Wyatt is running away from the Rolling Giant in part 3, at one point he gets cornered and eventually busts down what looks to be a piece of plywood or something by slamming into it with his shoulder, so I think he injured his shoulder in the process of busting it down, but your theory also makes complete sense.

14:00 I'm of the belief that this is the Giant's POV as it is the first time we see a fish-eye lens effect.

Agreed. While it is funny to imagine the statue rolling down the road, it makes sense that that is what it is, with the rolling noise along with the fish eye and low speed.

I never thought the giant was bad. I mean, exactly what would it do to Wyatt if it caught up to him? Branch him to death? It can’t even move its “arms”.

It’s very clearly bad and dangerous. It tries to sneak up on him, it ambushes him, and has strength enough to burst through walls

@@ExpertContrarian watch out. The evil Botanist is gonna get you. I think it’s more trying to warn him about the mall itself…but if you’re trapped in something that looks like that, it’s naturally going to be hard for anyone to understand that.

@@Hanoveur its tactics say otherwise. If I was the giant I could easily get them out and be able to communicate. Unless you want to say it’s intelligence is impaired, it’s malicious

it's a nice theory but i really do think the last shot is the giant rolling down the road. If it was through the car, he could have shown the inside of the car. It's also got this super vibrant fish-eye creature pov thing. Maybe you're right about the Giant bringing him back though

So I just finished the video and I just wanted to say, I'm really glad your hopeful and more innocent take on the Giant lived on through this episode. The first time I had ever heard of or watched anything related to "The Oldest View" was through your first video and afterwards when I went to go look for more videos all of them just had the same outlook of the Giant being malicious or evil, saying that the Giant wasn't letting him leave or wanted him dead. Your videos on this series, where the giant was at first a being who was just trying to help Wyatt out and make him leave and then with new information just a lonely thing hanging out in the mall, are among some of my favorite videos on youtube.

I did notice it but was contemplating on putting it in. I do have a theory about it and I believe its inclusion is very deliberate, but it turns the entire thing on its head and I just don't think theres enough evidence to really dive into that yet. I think theres definitely a parrallel between Wyatt's body and the giant's carriage. It's entirely possible that just as Wyatt has been looping, the Giant has as well. The carriage is present in both timelines where Wyatt lives or dies, so this COULD be a switch to another instance at the point in time or signifying the point where the snapshot is taken, instead of near the beginning when Wyatt first enters the mall. I DONT KNOW theres just so much it could be!

Anywhere where you see man-made structure or planning, flag It’s the freedom of chaos versus the chaos of construction Also it stands to reason that after sometime in stasis the spirit would have searched the soul of the KZbinr and found a rudimentary love for nature allowing them a second chance (Edit) Just realizing that this is more so a comment from some thing I said hypothetically on part one in the comments The whole reason Wyatt would’ve started their journey in the first place was most likely due to legends and lure that they heard from the botany professor. There are things that you are missing I think. Wyatt died and did get out. He got to the same place that the naturalist was and is. I don't think this is about "snapshots". I think everything might be happening all at once. This feels like we're looking at higher dimension events but without the ability to actually see the higher dimensions. He experienced both events at once, which is why his arm is hurt. Not having reception doesn't mean he's not from this world. It means he did not make it back "home" any more than he did when he died. He's been dispersed. He is many places and times at once, like the botanist, who may exist in the Giant, the past, and elsewhere at the same time.

I still find the giant on the road at the end strange. Sure, his viewpoint might not move up or down, but we see him looking *sideways* while still moving forward. We can hear his typical rooling too. We have never seen him be able to twist, and so far he was only able to move forward and turn, not swerve to the side, so I don’t know who that‘s supposed to be possible.

As the video explained, It's more of a emphatic thing by adding the rolling sound but the giant is actually not there. He is said to live inside Wyatt's mind and seeing through Wyatt.
