Jill Dando was a British journalist, television presenter, and newsreader who was 1997 BBC Personality of the Year. At the time of her death, she was a presenter of the BBC program Crimewatch. On April 26, 1999, Dando was fatally shot outside her home in Fulham, London. Her murder is still unsolved to this day.

I'm British living in the UK and that is exactly how our Emergency services are. If you need an ambulance for instance? They will stay on the line....talk to you....and tell you what to do until help does arrive. Yes... We diall 999......and they are brilliant.

The saddest thing for me being a teenager when both Diana and Jill died. Was that on both occasions in the mornings, the teenage boys I knew at the time between 16 and 19 where joking about it like it was funny. The Diana one was the day I was having my McDonald’s induction to work. And Jill’s was a morning at college. I will never understand how people can be so detached and so cruel.

It was undoubtedly a professional hit, it was too clean, not something an everyday character could pull off. Jill was an investigative journalist and I’m guessing she got too close to a story. An Irish journalist called Veronica Guerin was murdered in a shooting ambush by criminals she got too close to in a story she was investigating... I happened to drive by her car within 15minutes of her death, it was an unreal scene to say the least. R.I.P. Jill and Veronica 🙏🏻

Jill Dando was such a popular presenter / personality in the UK & although I never met her, I was totally shocked & dismayed by her death!! This is such a comprehensive, clear video about her death, thank you so much!! I’ve always thought that it was due to her, having information about other celebrities such as Jimmy Saville, Rolf Harris etc abusing under age girls. I’m certain that if Jill knew about this, she would have certainly wanted to do something about it!!! I think that one of them, discovered that she was about to expose them & arranged to have her killed. Her death was just so tragic and pointless!!

Not sure on all the specifics but she, her brother, and her step father were on their way to pick up their mother from the airport when they were attacked by three men. The Step Father also says that he was knocked out for 24 hours along with his toddler son, while Maleah was taken. This is all from the stepfather point of view however, and several people have pointed out holes in his story, so it's possible that he is a person of interest now. An incredibly confusing story.

My old law teacher in college used to practice law, she was one of the lawyers who worked on Barry George’s defence! She said to us that all the lawyers agreed he was weird/ sketchy, but that they all believed it was a cover up from something higher up, I think she actually mentioned theories about Jill exposing people in the BBC! Now i wish I had asked sooo much more questions to my old teacher

I remember when this happened, very sad. Clearly it was someone close to her whom did not like the announcement of the engagement. The awful mess her face would have been in after that blow to the temple, you can just hear the pain in the neighbors voice to 911. I hope the neighbor is well and has found peace with that image.
