I have always attracted dominating people in the past. I think surviving narcissistic abuse has made me a stronger person. I can read people easier and know how to set boundaries and say no, while still being a nice person.

Over the course of my life there have always been people who instantly disliked me, male or female and I could never figure it out so I just kind of lived with it and never worried too much about it. On the other hand complete strangers can instantly latch on and tell me their deepest secrets. It's a conundrum that only seems to make sense in the context of an empath's life. Great video. Peace!

This is spot on! I find I tend to trigger those that try to live behind a mask because I can see right through it. This makes it difficult to be in the workplace, especially with other females. I’m going to keep listening to this because I’m dealing with a narcissistic coworker that is competing with me and trying to sabotage my business. Thanks for this gem, Tamie!

Thank you for explaining my mother and sister as well as my husband and his mother. 10 years isolated around that much hate, and I was holding onto a thread when I first started healing. Nuts table of 1 please. I've always wondered why I'm so much more sensitive than most. I used to handle life much better unti things went south so fast for so long I couldn't get it turned around. Yep. A long time 'friend' of mine whom I've known for 35 years. It was a long distance friendship, one week a year or two for outdoor activity. This person recently moved to within walking distance of me. He knows I'm onto his shit. I am slowly but surely erasing this person from my life. When you know, you know. Having been in a toxic marriage for a dozen years, and walking away from it, I now have zero tolerance for gaslighters, narcs, and toxic people in general. I'm done with the nonsense. It only takes a few minutes now to recognize them.

At the end. This is me. I was always empathetic and a bitco dependent . However events over the last 20 years developed me. I'm facing a malignant narcissist , not a love interest and know I get under their skin. I won't and don't take crap. I record and report with view to almost imminent legal action. I did have 4 1/2 years psychoanalysis. It was hard but it made me feel my strengths and weaknesses and build. I'm strong and have coped with things in the last 2 years that very few could have I feel quite complete. Narcissists beware. Thanks Tamie.

But I have learned over the years who to leave and when to get out without waisting a lot of time and I don’t put up with much at work anymore either. My mother has narcissistic traits (not sure if she's a full narcissist) causes by traumatic childhood. She's been projecting it on me (24 female) since I was a baby (after a psychologist visit where I got diagnosed with anxiety and depression my dad and I had a serious talk where he admitted that she loved me in the beginning, dressed me in cute outfits and showered me with attention, but as soon as my personality started coming out around age 2 she resented me). She adores my younger brother who's a lot like her. I however look like a spitting image of her mother, I have a strong personality and am very observant. Watching these videos helped me realise our family dynamic was not my fault. I'm not claiming to be a superempath or even an empath, but my mother and the bullying in school (from age 7 to 19) had me develop observational skills in pure 'survival' move. I used to be extroverted, confident and attention loving. Now I'm introverted, insecure bit I've been working on myself for the last 5 years to turn my reserved energy into something calmer and approachable because I'm finishing my teaching degree and I want to be a good teacher. So far my internship with kids from ages 7-19 has proven I've been somewhat successful, as my classroom is orderly and kids are usually engaged and interested. I'm saying all this to tell you you don't have to be 'super' anything to survive narcissistic, or any other type of, abuse. Just keep your eyes on what's important. For me, my goal was to become the type of person that the younger me needed but never got. I'm not talking about the 'I'll stop all bullying' savior complex, nothing as delusional. I'm just talking about the 'casual classroom, zero tolerance for bullying, encouraging environment' type of teacher that in my experience are few and far between. I've been healing myself along the way.

Yes it reasontes .. I don’t normally reply to any videos cause well I just don’t care about what others think or do.. I am very strong willed and that definitely was good when I met the Narcissist that poisoned my son 3 and my father with bribery.. so I had no one to get him out and I had to keep quite .. and cry and it hurt my soul he killed the stars in my eyes and I miss me so much.. I miss being aligned it’s like I have gone from loving myself my environment and family to hating being around anyone at all.. it’s like the energy is sparking and shorting out and not translating correctly with my me.. I’m numb inside and out .. I am starting out like brand new learning to feel with intent with I never really noticed how difficult before I shut down to cope with the abuse mental physical financial everything.. and him refusing to let me go he would consistently break into my home and asked like I was wrong for calling the cops. They let him stay cause his mail came there.. so if u could help m in a positive direction that would be openly accepted … don’t get me wrong I still care and love those around me and do to soften there world .. but it feels wrong.. like it’s not my gift now. Like I’m not authentic anymore.😢

Great work Joy, I can relate to all this, however this is God-given power and it is not free, the idea of knowing yourself completely can be misleading, Jesus said only the son knows the father and only the father knows the son. These traits are born to the sons of God, but we are not known to ourselves, only to God, but God is also not known to Himself, but to us bit by bit as we grow. So the aim is to know God and not yourself, you are completely known to God.

I'm becoming more and more like this ever since I've started intensely working on my self-esteem after a narcissistic relationship. Definitely can say I have a good base, because I ended this particular relationship in just a couple months, didn't let them truly reach and scramble my true inner self. Since then, I've developed a very strong emotional independence and it was a bit scary at first, because I thought something "broke" inside me because I began to make less connections. Turns out it's just that I'm practically immune to fake people, which are in noticeable abundance everywhere. Learning to appreciate doing things solo just came with it so naturally and having my soul the most healed it's ever been also lets me see behavior patterns much more clearly AND objectively.
