see so many people finding their identity through victimhood the last few years, seems like its an increasing way of people being. i hope they find another way - they are putting themselves in so much suffering. i am so grateful not to be burdened by complex religious or cultural doctrines, love being a woman growing up in Australia - free to live in the moment exactly as I am - incredibly graetful for the luck i had being born here and to the beautiful family i have that never forced or pressured me to follow or believe any particular rituals or ancestral things - just free to explore life as who i am

This particular video ( haven't watched a lot yet) is 100% spot on. I've experienced a lot in the sense of suffering. From 15 years old untill now 31 years old. One example of my life where the Ego started to learn, or better to say when my parents started to learn me the ego: as a little kid playing with other kids at school, I was around 4-5. I noticed a boy had a big nose so I said with a tonality of awe: 'heyy, you have a big nose! :D " The kid replied with a big cry 'mommyyyy he said my nose is big' . I.... didn't mean anything with it. I just noticed it and was in an appreciative state. The thoughts altho were saying before hand, something like: ooh wow cool, he has an other shape of nose, never seen it, but nice. So what else is to see here?" I was exploring the world as any other kid. Untill I learnt from parents and teachers: "You can't say that!! You will hurt other people , so next time think before you say something, if it could hurt the other or not!" And what did I do? I turned from "extrovert" to "introvert", analyizing EVERY thought. Untill this day "I'm afraid" to share my opinion, thoughts about something etc, because I don't want to hurt people. I got SO confused as a kid.The switch from being an expressive being into a silent, quiet being was very heavy, life as burden. God is here and will always be. He guided me towards someone who I met online and he teached me The Silent Prayer. Which is exáctly meditation= observing everything that arises in the awareness yet holding no opinion about them. Second part of the practice is to applying that to daily life. At the moment I go unconscious very often in which the ego replies to me as that it's frustrating!! Hahahaha. Wonderfull how you throw the humor in the talks Eckhart. I appreciate you and am thankfull for this moment.

I really enjoyed this talk. I was just chatting with my friend (who is 35 & single and wants to be married) & I am married hoping and praying for a baby. She told me that she feels as though everyone is leaving her behind, I felt this way too before I got married, & now in my longing for a family I have noticed that we are constantly moving the needle for happiness. I have found myself pleading with God for just this one more thing & then I’ll be happy but I think we all know that is a lie. I think that’s why Paul says in Philippians “Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.” We always say “I’ll be happy when___” If we don’t learn contentment whether being well fed or hungry we will never find true joy. (love his analogy of rain in London vs sunshine in Hawaii) I am looking forward to the day that I look out the window & feel that “isness” For now I will enjoy the journey to get there ♥️ Holding all of your hands who are HERE. Yes it seems to be a never ending game. A game that has no winners or losers and we get to choose to play or just watch…Like this comment. “We are the chess board and our thoughts, opinions, ideas and beliefs are the chess pieces, rather than black or white thought, opinions, ideas, beliefs tend to be positive or negative, they move around within board but they are not part of the board itself. If a positive piece defeats a negative piece the negative piece is soon replenished and replaced, and vice versa. It's an endless and ultimately unwinnable game, but we are not forced to play, we can instead allow the chess pieces to do thier own thing and play their game without our interest or attention, while we ourselves do our own things.”

I think WE ARE EVOLVING AS A SPECIES...WE ARE GRADUATING FROM THIS SEPARATE VIEW FROM EACH OTHER INTO A GOD MIND KNOWING THAT IS ALL THERE EVER IS....WE are learning that We Humans are JUST GOD HAVING AN EXPERIENCE THROUGH OUR FLESH...THERE HAS NEVER EVER BEEN A SEPARATE HUMAN FROM GOD...THE EGO IS HAVING A FIT AND WANTS TO BE UNIQUELY IDENTIFIED FOR SOME FALSE AGGRANDIZEMENT... EVEN IF IT'S I'M THE WORST OR IM THE GREATEST.. ALL FUTILE ,,SO EVENTUALLY, WE WILL JUST STOP THE NONSENSE ONCE WE WAKE UP...ONE HUMAN AT A TIME❤

@@wagwand you have to be without thought

Thought is self-protecting. Thought in its origin, content, expression, and action is fascist. Thoughts are not self-generated. They are not spontaneous. The brain is just a reactor and a converter. It is not a creator. It reacts to external stimuli and produces what we call thoughts. The human brain appears to solve life's problems. But that is not really the case. It only achieves the results for which nature created it. Overall, systems of nature are endowed with an assemblage of life forms, possessing either brain or brawn or both."

Think many choose to feed the ego not because they enjoy it, but to occupy themselves and stay clear of that emptiness a still mind can bring initially. The fear of silence is often greater than the fear of suffering from a bloated ego. I know Eckhart and many more speak on that matter as well, but yeah, just wanted to point it out. Awesome talk anyway!

❤ The ego is neither a thought nor a sound. It is psychic vital energy and it's essential nature is desire or more precisely desiring. That is why the most common behaviour of the ego is almost constantly wanting or desiring something.😮
