Thanks very much! It is 3/4 and a two measure groove. most of the time, it is on beat one in measure 1, and in measure two, the third note of the triplet on beat 2. It is a beautiful pattern the way the hi hat and bass drum compliment one another.

Just a term I came up with to describe the part of the song Elvin plays the tom as part of the groove, this one is in 3/4 so it is hard to classify.
