Thanks man! Yes very cool that it's in Grade 7. They change the songs up a bit just to fit the requirements of each grade, but this is pretty close to the original I think, at least in terms of structure. Yes might have a look at the original sometime! Cheers for watching :)

Man I looove playing the drums but the darn kick causes so much frustration! how do I play it fast and also not get tired I feel my progress on the kick is so sluggish ugh you rocked this song man. the triplets on the kick are on point.

Practice rl on snare and 2 kicks with metronome 30 secs on 30 off when it’s smooth increase metronome speed this exercise should help

In bar 7 are the e and + of the 2nd beat (16th notes) ghost notes? Listening to this over and over again and watching this video endlessly gives no clue. Any help confirming this would be appreciated because I am struggling to play ghost notes within this very fast section.

Yes they are, and are notated as such in the Grade 7 book! Have you got the book? Same for the "e+" of beat 1 in bar 24 too.

Yes, I have the book and am doing the grade course. Thanks for that confirmation, I need to break that section down and start again trying to get these quieter than the other notes. With the first beat being on the and I am looking to start that note with a R and then beat 2 as LRLR? Does that make sense.?

Hi, I'm not using a double pedal here, I'm using a single. If you did choose to use a double, that's cool, but no I don't think you could use the hi-hat instead - it needs to be bass drum!
