@@Mamabear76my Mom was a trained special educator and homeschooled my sister (who is on the autism spectrum and has developmental delays) and myself through moves from Air Force base to Air Force base, from country to country, and after my Dad’s retirement and into civilian life. I will always be grateful and in awe of the sacrifices they both made on an Air Force Enlisted salary to make sure we received a good education, of the time and effort she dedicated to both my sister and I every day. My sister graduated high school, even though the public school system (when she was briefly in it) only had the goal of her finishing one assignment a year. I was homeschooled k-12; I’m disabled now, but I was able to become an RN and work for 10 years as a nurse. My Mom made sure that I had the education I needed to get into nursing school. OP is right, you, my Mom, and all other homemakers are everyday heroes. ❤

Thankless people who deserve real thanks: Taxi drivers, gas station attendants, hotel clerks, hotel maids, janitors, teachers, artists of all venues, volunteers everywhere... It's a limitless list. Pay attention in everyday life to those around you, just catch their eye, not your head in acknowledgement, and SAY thanks. Let them know that someone sees them, sees their efforts, sees their worth. Yeah, Sebs, Tom, I'm with you.

Ive been a truck driver for 31 years. For 17 years i rarely saw my children. But the past 8 years ive been driving with my Son. We drive from NC to California every week generally 47 to 48 weeks out of the year. We worked steady through Covid to keep medical supplies and food moving. There were a few people who gave thank yous during that time, but many of those same people were the ones giving us tge middle finger for going too slow up a hill. There is little to no appreciation out here today for truckers, but we do it anyway. I too enjoy good positive entertainment like you Sebs. Thanks for doing what you do.

I’m an OTR trucker , specifically specialized flatbed. I and so many of my brothers and sisters of the highway aren’t appreciated by the general public. We’re flipped off, cussed out, cut off, brake checked and ridiculed. But we’re out here for 2-3 weeks or months at a time earning a living while bringing the consumables, food and freight that keeps America and the world turning. We risk our lives for the thankless, but it’s what we do for the lifestyle we love. We were loved during covid because we had the supplies y’all needed. Since then, we’ve been forgotten. So it hit hard to hear a shout out from Tom. **Because if you have it, a trucker brought it!!**

As an EMT (since I was 18, we talk about how long that’s been lol). That line about “buying them time” hits HARD. We hurt with every patient that we can’t make better. I think all public safety and medical personnel do FEEL the pain when we don’t save someone. Even if we didn’t have a chance, it still will eat at us and consumes us if we can’t just “let it go.” We have to learn how but I can say I’m not great at the disassociation. I do know I work in a profession that is in my blood. Since I was a kid I knew what I wanted to do. It was never even a question. But I did get to be a stay at home mom for a while and that was so hard, I’d pick up extra shifts because it was easier lol. It was a break for me. And all of the people who are skilled workers are my heroes and if they aren’t yours, just wait until something breaks that you need and don’t know how to fix it lol. I appreciate Tom for this one. I heard it on his album and I’m so glad he made a video for it. God bless 💗🙏🏼🇺🇸

So, I don't know how long you've been watching Tom, but what he's doing is actually the opposite of marketing. He does him in his art/shorts/music, and if you f*ck with it, you f*ck with it, and if you don't, you don't. Love him or hate him, Tom does Tom. He is a dope legend. He's just living out his dreams of being an ARTist. His whole channel is a vibe, and each song is epic. He puts his music/art out for anyone to comment on, negatively or positively. He's been grinding for years. He was told he was "too conscious for the fans to feel him," so he just does him while also being a role model for how to create your own dope lane, independently with talent, writing his own songs, producing his own beats, playing his own instruments, gf shoots the videos, a legit family business (for the people who are paying attention). Long comment, I know, but so many people really have his and Nova's intentions warped. I've been buying his signed CDs for several years now. You don't have to react, but I definitely recommend checking out his entire channel. There's a reason he's getting all these billboard plaques. He's the truth. You can legit get goosebumps from his music.

I never respected first responders as much as I should have. Until July 10th 7 years ago when our lives changed forever. Minutes before 6pm I see firefighters pouring through the streets into businesses. They evacuated us all hundreds of people. 30 minutes later as Cory Barr god rest his soul left his business the oxygen mixed with the natural gas that had built up. The building blew up taking Cory’s life unfortunately had to watch it in person. But we all survived because of these hero’s. Downtown Sun Prairie WI during Dinner. I may have lost everything I owned. But I had everything because my children wife and pets were safe.

My husband has worked ATC since he was 21 in military then went civilian at the military base. Spent a good chunk of his years in a closed off radar room speaking to planes, handling emergency calls or traffic congestion a few years back, a jet pilot had his ai system onboard shut down and so basically, no temp control and no nav.. all the pilot has was a smart watch with a compas to be able to tell what direction he was heading and my husband's voice telling him to bank this way or that, to lower altitude and at what time all the way till run way, for over an hour trying to get him to the landing strip and to safety.. pilot hung in there and did make the landing then he had to have emergency ambulance crew pry him out of the cockpit (his hand was frozen to the flight stick) the guy himself was a hero, the other fella on the plane had passed out from the lack of proper oxygen and freezing temps, they both survived it. This was one of the few times I saw my husband break down crying when he got home and told me what happened and a moth later he was given an award of recondition for it. The importance of his job every single day can not be overstated, spending 8 hrs in a closed cramp room staring at a radar screen and talking to planes to keep them from crashing into each other or mountains. I couldn't be more proud of what he has accomplished, humbly and without needing a limelight to do it.

My Mom gave so much of herself in homeschooling my sister (on the autism spectrum and with developmental delays) and I. My sister was able to beat expectations that the public school system had for her and graduate high school. I was homeschooled k-12 and due to the foundation this education my Mom provided gave me, was able to get my RN, and work 10 years as a nurse before I became too disabled to do so. My neighbor, from his wheelchair, helped so many troubled kids in his garage small engine shop. I practically lived there every free moment I had as a preteen and into high school; he taught me so much. His wife was a nurse. RIP to them both. I wish so could name all the everyday heroes that I’ve been blessed to know.

#HOG Tom is a real 1. His sister was a nurse in Canada during the p(L)andemic and she was being forced to work insane hours under high stress until she was having panic attacks at work. She called Tom to vent and he told her to hang up right now and quit. He got her and her husband work visas and moved them to LA where he made them the 3rd and 4th employees along with him and Nova. Jenna and her hubby help ship all the merch and are learning behind the camera stuff. He'll take care of them for life. Tom has a close family and I think he genuinely feels bad for being a screw up and making them worry. I can only imagine the satisfaction he feels in being able to make sure his parents are comfortable, never having to worry about money again. Lmao I can only imagine telling my parents as a teen I'm gonna be a pro wrestler, doing it for a decade and then saying now I'm going to be a rapper and move to LA. He bought all his family satellite phones too just in case.

Tell McDonald brings up being a veteran and thinking veterans. I'm a veteran, I have a son that's currently serving in the United States navy, and one thing that people don't realize, Not all veterans, sea battle. One thing that all veterans have in common is they are taken away from their families. At the age of 18, I left to join boot camp. After that, I was gone for 4 years, And with the exception of coming Home 2 weeks twice a year, I didn't see my immediate family. I don't understand how those who are married can actually survive in the military. Being away from your wife and kids has to be a whole new experience and one that I couldn't understand.

It's heartbreaking to see these hard working , responsible employees lose their livelihood due to government caving in to political rhetoric!! (Trigger warning: comment is about a car accident) When I was a little girl, my dad was in a horrible car accident where he received several injuries. One of which was his throat was cut, and his jugular, which miraculously was left intact, was left bulging from his neck. A young woman who was one of the paramedics working the scene was tasked with protecting his jugular while he was rushed to the hospital. My dad was conscious the whole time and remembers her holding his jugular. He later found out that had been her first day on the job and that she quit after that. I never met that woman, and I don't know her name. But I would thank her if I could.

I can not think of any other artist/musician that make a song like this. Tom's song 'Castles" is very similar.

You should check out Alabama's 40 Hr Week song .... They too appreciate us....the cogs in the wheel. 32 yrs driving trucks and all type of trailers all throughout this great country. Us oldheads have seen things we don't share and don't wish on anyone else to see, we've seen magnificent things too we wish everyone could have seen and shared. Thanks to all of you other cogs that help keep this wheel spinning, without any one of us it all crashes down.

My fiancé works at pechanga as an electrician he gets called in all the time on his days off and gets no thanks when he’s fixed so many problems but if he doesn’t go in he’s told he’s unreliable but his other coworker never has to go in it’s unfair and he feels so unappreciated and it’s slowly breaking him

Great art. Thanks for covering it Sebs. Proof that Rap/hip hop is a genre that is a beautiful art form when it is delivering a beautiful message even though I am not a fan of a large swath of the genre of the last couple of decades. ❤
