One year and 450k views later, it is finally time to rematch Yharon in the lowest of low % runs possible. This has been a long time in the making, through the rough end years of college, my busy life outside of those, and being very stubborn when it comes to quality, I present the funny and informative moments alike of this run. I remember doing a low% Yharon run myself a few years back! One of the most fun challenges I ever did in Calamity. My route was focused around using the Glorious End to take advantage of the fact that you can become invulnerable effectively 100% of the time with perfect play. So I did WoF as normal, gunned straight to the Astral biome, then actually defeated the Ravager before Cultist so I could make some better armor & tools. The cross necklace was absolutely critical as it's the required component for that guaranteed i-frame uptime, but with it, most of the bosses were just a matter of surviving a bullet hell like I'm playing the Undertale pacifist route. Another thing about Glorious End, say goodbye to your precious Adrenaline because you constantly proc self damage :) I originally was just going to route through moonlord instead of Dragonfolly but it turns out that the debuff Yharon inflicts through contact damage hurts you through i-frames! The only way to deal with this damage was to get Dragonfolly's accessory which makes you immune to the same debuff, which did save the run but only at the cost of all the post-ML gear and items, so no luminite for me! The actual Yharon fight depended entirely on the self damage Yharon does in Death mode starting at full health, and the fight took like 20 minutes straight per attempt. Once I did it though, well I can imagine you know the feeling XD OH YEAH! I almost forgot, something necessary to the Yharon fight was... The Pogo Stick sold by the Party Girl. You can't get the slime mount for fastfalling, so I realized there was an alternative, and for that fight, dashing quickly in any direction is a massive boon. Definitely one of my favorite Low% runs I've ever seen, just because of how full the run is despite the amount of content that's skipped.

Sadly glorious end was fixed, and can not be used to get I frames anymore, since the self damage from it no longer triggers them, but instead ruining in to an enemy with the star board projectile gives you I frames, it was fixed easily over a year ago. Though soon after the fix to Glorious End I managed to still find a way to break it, so it's still a valid option for yharon though way more finicky now. The break I found with the fixed Glorious end is related to how your dash length is based off of you horizontal speed, so dashing while flying or falling gives you a longer dash, until you are moving down more than to the side, So what if you somehow could continue to move horizontally at high speeds without moving down, well this is what I found Glorious end to do, if you start flying horizontally and dash your RAM from the dash stays active fir as long as you don't fly at over a 45 degree angle up or down, since Glorious end has a high enough constant speed to keep it active, the only problem is that the RAM is a bit inconsistent if Yharon is dashing at you very vertically. But that's how I still found a way to break an op weapon that was fixed already once.

So I went to my text files and counted, and in total I have come up with 157 different runs, out of which only 5 are actual sub-classes listed on the wiki, so 152 completely unique runs. Technically still possible in 5 bosses, right? Wall -> Ravager (need life alloy) -> Astrum Deus (For Solar Fragments) -> Dragonfolly (feathers) -> Yharon. This way, you don't have to beat Cal. Clone and Cultist for fragments.

1:14:55 So I'm being called out now huh? XD Since you asked, no. I used cheat sheet to setup that arena and nearly crashed Tmod at the time as a result of all the liquid settling. Secondly, I gotta say sorry. Now, IDK how much/if any QoL bullying you recieved was as a result of my very vocal distain for it in my playthrough vids, then communities opening up to that idea then forcing it on others etc. But it's pretty clear you wanted to avoid any sort of QoL related backlash. Personally, I don't care if people excessively use QoL. But I advocate against it since it just makes the experience slower which can slow down your mind. Sometimes people tend to take stuff in better when they go slow, and this *can* make impactful or fun moments shine even brighter. But it can go both ways since obviously people are different. I do still think it's important if you're running a public challenge to keep your gear and progress vanilla, or saying you won't be from the start. But that wasn't an issue in either run. Third, congrats again! I will say it's pretty interesting to see a vid where literally your entire thought process was accounted for and on full display. It's a refreshing take on editing and I had a good time watching it. ;)

tips for anyone who wants to try this out: - play on a drunk world so you can get a small portion of the dungeon accessable (makes meteorite accessable through shadow chests) (if you don't want to play in a drunk world because you think its cheating, then after getting a reaver shark, go to the ceaseless void section of the dungeon and outrun the dungeon guardian to get a key from the chests in the middle instead) - both of cal clones constructs drop very good weapons for killing lunatic cultist and ravager - you can shimmer chlorophyte ore to get hallowed ore, and 3 of any core to get ectoplasm - you have a lot more options for weapons than just the few used in this video, try things out like the Arch Amaryllis, the other pillar weapons, the Omniblade, Lucrecia, Spectralstorm Cannon, and Baleful Harvester. there are definitely more you could try using. - use the eye of magnus its broken

honestly not that hard in the end, there are 2 ways of doing it, 1 is to abuse respawn time, where you deal what ever damage you can at the top of the world, when you die Primordial Wyrm doesn't actually just despawn, but instead tries to fly out of the map at the bottom of the world, meaning you can respawn before it can despawn, and since it has infinite agro range it will start to target you again, than you can deal a little bit of damage to it, than just repeat this for multiple hours. the other and more intresting idea, i actually did was, to build an afk machine using 400 boulder statues and 3 second timer teleporters 1000 blocks appart, so that the Wyrm stays far enough away from you to not attack, but can't move enough to get out of the boulder statues, it took for ever, but i beat Primordial Wyrm with no armor, weapons or accessories, though it did take 77 hours of afk straight, though the machine design was pretty un optimal, so i could probably half that time, to only being 1.5 days.

Slurper Pole has almost half of the Hotline's fishing power, and since the Dragoon Drizzlefish has the same catch quality as the Abyssal Amulet it most likely requires the same minimum fishing power of 110, so you'll need way more fishing power boosts and thus still need to do a bunch of fishing quests. Part of Calamity's fishing rework is that the type of gear the Angler gives as rewards depends on how many quests you completed, and you can't get additional fishing accessories drops until you get the guaranteed ones from this rewards system order: Angler armor requires 10 quests, Tackle Bag components require 3, 15 and 20; and in case you're thinking you can avoid this by getting a Golden Fishing Rod with the Trasher method along with a Lavaproof Fishing Hook... that requires 21 quests, a whopping 1 less than the Hotline Hook. Also the run was done before Shimmer was a thing, so no transmuting duplicate accessories to get the Tackle Bag earlier either. Bait rewards are also affected by the system, so you can only get Master Bait rewards from quests 27 to 30; considering this isn't enough to reach the minimum of 30 required by Fargo's Mutant to make bait infinite you'll have to either do more quests to get 30 Grand Marquise Bait - a Calamity bait item with 65% bait power - or gamble with the Fisherman's Bait Box - a grab bag that costs 5 gold - since he doesn't sell Master Bait before Hardmode. So you still need as many, if not more quests than what you need for the Hotline Hook, and you're adding who knows how much more time of grinding an early Hardmode-level mob for a 10% drop in an area filled with similarly dangerous enemies.

As of rn Ediolists spawn after WoF or Cal Clone is defeated, not just after Cal Clone. Reaver Shark was un-nerfed back to 100% pickaxe power by calamity, and as for lava fishing, you can find just hellstone bars in Brimstone Crag's bridge chests, which you can use to make the lava Proof fishing hook, or killing Soul Slurpers in the Crag for the Slurper Pole, which is a 1 in 4 drop in PH, and can fish in lava. Other ways of getting hellstone pre-boss is to find the Jungle lab, and then the lab seeking mechanisms there and shimmer them fir hellstone bars, these hell lab seekers can also be found in random small labs around the underground. Also there is a version of this run where you skip Dragonfolly and kill Moonlord insted, and just get the Effulgent feathers from Swarmers that spawn in the jungle, obviously your title says "no moonlord", but I wanted to let people know that this isn't the only 5 boss yharon kill route, and both would be considered True Low% Yharon. Now for what I'd do for this specific route of TL%Y run, as someone that recently killed Scal with a fresh character in a world with all bosses killed, with just what can be found around the world and the Lunar Event. Also I do have extensive experience with Yharon, more specifically Death mode Yharon. My weapon path is rather simple, get Veering Wind, kill WoF, get Storm Saber, kill cultist, get Phantasm, kill ravager, kill Dragonfolly, get as tanky as possible and just survive for a maximum of 23 minutes in the Yharon fight. And honestly outside of Yharon definitely being probably a bit grindy, the other parts of the run should be very easy to do.

You dont need luiafk for the potions. Fargos mutant mod makes it so of you have 30 of a buff in you invntory, piggy bank, or safe, it gives you the buff without consuming it. I just stash 30 of everything in a piggy bank

Just a minor note on the run's current viability: with the Infernum difficulty addon, 4 Eidolists are guaranteed to be present in the abyss after defeating Wall of Flesh. I know this would be adding another mod to make the challenge possible, but I think it suits the spirit of the run enough to be allowed. Also, the Murasama easter egg was removed, so a different weapon would be needed. I think the Golden Eagle with Hyperius Bullets would give you the best chance. Also, nobody cares if you use QoL mods so long as you only use them to speed up processes you would have done regardless of if you had the mod. People only get mad once you gain a combat or progression advantage that would be impossible without QoL. Also also, I think using the Murasama easter egg was lame. It feels kinda scummy, and I think the run would have been possible without using it.

In death mode, Yharon gains a teleport that deals self-damage. By using an ocean conch and recall potions, you can essentially cheese him down to 1 hp by teleporting from ocean to ocean then kill him in one hit with anything

In my most recent playthrough, I cheesed Yharon using teleporters and forcing him to do his bullet hell attack, which makes him lose a bit of hp, and can actually bring him all the way down to 0.2% (where I just killed him normally). If there's a way you can move faster than enraged Yharon, you could feasibly force him into only doing his bullet hell attack and draining his own hp.

Hey btw there's a magic storage starter kit mod, i use it for all my playthroughs. It spawns you with all the basic interface stuffs and 4 basic crates

30:22 fun fact, angler can drop the golden net which can catch hellbait, which allow you to fish in lava, so this isn't actually necessary, but hey I don't complain about not having to watch someone fish for crates. (totally not speaking from experience from having to wait for a 1/80 drop in vanilla because I wanted to get the shark mount)

Btw you CAN access the dungeon by using a glitch that prevents the guardian from spawning. This can allow you to power up and get dungeon items early/without needing to beat skeletron

DM Dokuro, the composer for all of the calamity music, has made it abundatly clear that his music is free to use for videos like this, that copyright notice for roar of the jungle dragon is a false claim made by some random asshole. youtube doesnt like to do ANYTHING about these false claims, and dokuro also has minimal interest in his calamity music as of late, so this issue will likely never be fixed

You could've blocked the evil biome spread by placing some blocks that can't be corrupted at the edge of the evil biome

This works for the hallow too, but doesn't work if the evil biome is in a desert, in that case place it at the edge of the desert, the evil biome should stop spreading once it fully consumes the desert

I mean, not that it mattered anyway because Reaver Shark is unnerfed in calamity, but you can smash three orbs to fight Eater/Brain, half kill them for pickaxe and armor materials, then teleport away. I address this because I think in Toasty's video about this subject however long ago, he said that he'd count that as fighting the boss as it spawned in, so it'd DQ the run. I thought you were running the same rules hence my worry over the Eye causing you to have to log out and in but you ended up letting it spawn and using the potions to warp away and back to despawn it so to you, killing the boss seems to be what matters, not fighting (which I agree with, for the record). I'm not going to lie and say that I wouldn't have felt the victory would feel sweeter if you didn't have to use the Sam blade, but it's definitely a better alternative than killing Moon Lord for a video called "in 5 bosses pre-moonlord", so what can you do, really?

The reason Roar of the Jungle Dragon might be copyrighted is because a KZbinr named String Player Gamer makes physical music boxes based on video game music and has made one for terraria which includes the aforementioned song, hence the "owner's" name, Video Game Music Box. I noticed a water candle close to the dungeon entrance, there’s a recipe for Water Bolt using it, but it is post-Wall (you need a Spell Tome item which you get from the Wizard NPC)

You should do eternity too. The fastest I know of is plantera (summon drops from some jungle enemies) -> golem -> cultist -> moonlord -> mutant
