I just finished The Truly Disadvantaged. It is an amazing work. I had read When Work Disappears before reading Disadvantaged. Of all the authors I have read about the plight of poor African Americans including works by Lowry, Moynihan, and Sowell, I believe Mr. Wilson’s books are the most insightful. In fact, after turning the last page of Disadvantaged, I bought 3 more of Wilson’s books. He is an amazing social scientist!
