God Bless you mamma!! You are truly giving us all sooo much great info!! These videos give me personally the space to take a breathe and keep going. I also give Omega 369, started NAC, and a probiotic. Since mine isn’t a fan of the probiotic but likes yogurt sometimes it’s just yogurt.

My diet contains home cooked meat every night, fish once a week, some boiled veggies (kinds that I'm comfortable eating), either rice or mac & cheese to go with dinner, the six cheese mac is really good, milk in the morning. Maybe a poptart for breakfast if I'm running late, cereal if i wake up early, mixed fruit & yogurt, or a egg & sausage sandwich. Lunch is just a tv dinner or a burger, or pizza.

Autism and hypermobility are often seen together. Hypermobility (like EDS), causes a lot of gi issues because the connective tissue is so lax it doesn’t hold food down well or support the digestive system. My son takes a daily multivitamin along with a vegetable capsule and daily reflux medication to help his body to feel and work its best.

For my GI issues, taking a probiotic in the morning and magnesium at night helps a lot. Probably because I have some interoception issues, I never realize I'm hungry until it feels like an emergency. I really need to make sure to eat enough protein with every meal, otherwise that crash will hit me hard.

When i was younger, i absolutely would not eat vitamins. And aside from hypersensitivity, i was also on some ADHD medication that made eating very hard. By the time I was 17, I was only about 95, maby 100 Lb. 10 years later, im like 135Lb so, im on mark at least. I believe its mostly because i live on my own now, and i can eat things that im comfortable with. Ive also stopped taking the ADHD medication, so, now i actually feel like eating. Even though, theres times, ill go 3 or 4 days without food, because i really cant handle it. But at least im on the right track.

That’s great you’ve found what works for you. When Ezra was on ADHD meds he didn’t want to eat either and it made things really difficult. He is off those now and now he takes different stuff that actually makes him hungry which is a big blessing right now since he has always been under weight.

I may be a young adult. Yet, I don't feel old, I don't sound like a man. I still feel like I'm still just a kid. A child to my parents and family point of view. Because I was born autistic. I am not a political activist. I am apolitical and apathetic. Not fit for politics. I am a part of Basic Rights. A volunteer and cooperative supporter. I'm still just a kid. Being with my mom, dad, and family. I feel happy.

To me, time goes slower. Since I don't feel or sound like a man. I feel like i'm still just a kid, still a child to my parents view. They have mentioned us four children of my family, that we are still youngsters to eat too much sugar, fast food, ect. Despite me, and my two brothers being legal of age, we don't feel like older people yet. I am okay being treated like a pampered baby boy child. Time goes very slow in my perspective and view of the world.

True. I express myself when someone asks me. I speak up when someone asks me next. That is how I express myself to the people and world at large. I decided to let either the writing, drawing, or texting do the talk for me. I feel like young adult. I'm like a kid, a child in my mindset. I still have a childlike mindset. I thought this was a thing in fiction, yet it is a real thing in the real world. I am glad to have a childlike escapism and mindset.

Interesting stuff. We are watching for sugar, gluten not so much. She likes to eat everything, we just buy healty chocolate and candy, and we give her everything else we eat. We were watching for gluten for some time but its hard. Its excludes her more in kindergarden, and when we are somewhere, birthday or something. We dont want to exclude her from anything. As a certified nutritionist, food has no impact on symptoms, if children has digestive issues it is because they are intolerant or allergic or have physical disease in their digestion system. Many neurodivergente people have digestion diseases or/and allergies that is separate issues from the neurodiversities. Studies also show all western people have an unbalanced diet with way too much fat and way too much protein, that we can't digest so it just sits in the colon for weeks. And all western people is lacking fiber from fresh fruits and vegetables and carbohydrates directly from whole fruits.

@@7Aheadfamily I think there's also some question about whether autistics even process melatonin the same as neurotypicals, and whether it may have to do with our sleep abnormalities, so even if you had tried melatonin, it might not necessarily be relevant (assuming you are in fact neurotypical, which I don't think is a given, taking into account your kids, what you've mentioned about autism in your extended family, and some things you've said about yourself in various videos).

This is a good video. Maybe later on you can do a video on misconceptions about autism. For example, many people have read an article or two in the newspaper about some clinical trials and they think there is some pill that people can take to boost oxytocin levels and cure their autism. In reality that does not work and there is no pill that anyone can buy for this. This myth is based on the idea that autism is caused by a chemical imbalance. Unlike some other conditions it is not. It is also based on the stereotype that people on the spectrum cannot bond with other people or be cuddly. Simon and Ezra both show that this stereotype is false (as seen in some of your videos). In addition even if a pill for boosting oxytocin levels did exist it would only mean that someone is now autistic and has higher levels of oxytocin. Maybe that could improve some people’s social skills and ability to bond but it’s not a cure. For example it would not make it easier to adjust to changes in routine, and it would not prevent (or necessarily even reduce) sensory sensitivities and sensory meltdowns. Maybe one of the doctors you know can go into more detail on this in a future video addressing this misconception. Because of the misconceptions above I have had some people (including one or two friends of mine) ask me if I am interested in taking the cure and I have to try to explain to them that there isn’t a cure. There are many other misconceptions but lately (in the last year or two (for example)) this seems to be one of the big ones.

I've never heard of that but I have been told therapy might help you. The truth is it will help some people and a lot of autistic people seem to use it and see results but I have never talked to a doctor willingly. I have tried therapy before and for me it doesn't do any good because I just set there for an hour uncomfortably. The thing people doesn't seem to understand either is what you are comfortable with.

Frankly, while gastrointestinal issues correlate with autism, I'm not sure there's a consistent profile. It's probably best to get the individual commodities diagnosed and treat those rather than trying for any kind of "autism diet".
