THIS IS ACTUALLY ONE OF THE BEST INTRODUCTIONS TO VEGANISM I'VE EVER SEEN
@joannot6706 Жыл бұрын
He couldn't even get the definition of veganism right. 1:10 Veganism isn't avoiding to eat animals and use their biproducts, by this logic paying for corrida or kicking a dog would be vegan because it doesn't involve eating animals or using an animal's by-product, clearly corrida and kicking a dog aren't vegan. What you avoid as a vegan by definition is animal exploitation and mistreatment (cruelty). Veganism is not a way to consume, or at least it's more than that.

@@longevitycoach1573 Don't people who eat cows also eat vegetables? I don't personally know any omni's who don't eat vegetables. You've obviously never grown vegetables lol. I used to grow organic vege's commercially. What you do is plant a variety of flowering plants to attract beneficial insects which kill, eat, parasitise the ones which eat our crops. U can also buy parasitizing insect eggs on bits of card which hatch and kill/parasitize things like "white fly". Rotating crops (not planting crop species in same place every yr) also help to keep plants healthy, robust and more resistant to pests. Do this right and pests aren't a big issue, and ones vege's are clean. Amazing to see. Also grow things like grapes cherries etc under covers or netting to keep out the birds. When it comes to animals I also think there's a big difference between an aphid and a cow btw! They're hardly equivalent lol

In my opinion, after seeing people go in and out of veganism while I’ve maintained my diet for almost 8 years, the difference between being vegan temporarily and vegan for life is the purpose. If it’s not for the animals, there’s a good chance life circumstances will change the motivation to keep a vegan diet. But compassion for animals and a desire to not contribute to their suffering stays forever.

Then when I made the choice to have fish again for a few months, despite being perfectly good in health, it really felt like I was going against myself ethically for no difference in how I was feeling or athletically performing.
