I live in Boston in an area that, for the last 15 years, has been co-opted by greedy developers. And during this time, construction workers by the hundreds drive in from the hinterlands every day in their giant pick-up trucks. They park wherever they want because most of them use bogus handicap placards. The city knows this, but does nothing about because the money these constructions generate benefits local government. But it does not benefit most citizens like me, who have see nothing but huge increases in rents. People want affordable housing, but all these buildings in my hood are mostly occupied by Chinese nationals who seem to on permanent vacation. Ah, the American dream. RIP
