I have to eat gluten-free foods, or I can't eat much food at all. My digestive won't allow me to eat gluten.

I have the same trouble but there isn't much gluten free food on the shelves in Australia. Plenty of over weight obesity in its place. ?

It’s fascinating that “gluten” doesn’t seem to be an issue in developing and 3rd world populations - but then again neither is obesity - if a genuine food crisis were to ever affect the US (and I sure hope it doesn’t…we had near riots over toilet paper) I wonder how that would affect our gluten intolerance epidemic….

Definitely a hereditary condition of Northern Europe. It is an autoimmune disease if one is truly celiac. In Italy all children are tested at age six for celiac.

I vomit and have violent sh*ts if I eat gluten. Even my flaxmeal I mixed in my smoothie was contamimated with wheat made me puke. I'm with her. I've had depression and exhaustion all my life-I thought it was the sugar-nope, once I quit gluten ALL my symptoms vanished. Hard to argue with success.

The first time I ever agreed with Dr. Oz. Nutrition is not fashion-it should never be a fad.

It's all carbohydrates, which turns to sugar, which is really bad for you. I agree with Dr. Mark Hyman, it's still junk food -- not whole foods. It will lead to insulin resistance.
