@@BigEightiesNewWave my dad’s tenants son believe it or not survived a crash rolling his 1990 Civic hatchback into a telephone pole. Everyone was shocked. The old Honda saved his life. Don’t always judge a cars safety based on size, I mean Don’t always judge something based on size. Just like a girlfriend. I know, weird😂. But yeah, those old Civics are surprisingly safe. Loads of people survive crashes in smaller vehicles.

Their reliability on cars from 2010 is right on par with Ford, which is average. Volvo USED to make one of the most reliable vehicles ever in the late 80s to 90s in the 850. But their cars today are a far cry from that. I've had Volvos for years

I have a 2016 Civic LX, 2.0L, 6 spd manual. Hands down the best bang for your buck car I will ever own. Did I mention it will not burn any amount of oil in 7,000+ miles oil change! I didnt know it was possible for a motor to be so reliable, and efficient.

I got 2006 honda civic 1.8 FD1 with manual transmission full modified with nardo grey colour, easily pass 200 kmh top speed on highway, spacious dashboard. Upgraded all soundsystem stuff. I love it so much

Not sure if the US got the Civic type R The EP3 model was the best hatchback ever made. Honda made some great cars in the early 2000's but then all the problems they had after they never really recovered. They failed to develop new engine technology and carried on too long with what they got from the Leyland group.

I love my 2012 civic ! I replaced my headlights as the old ones were dull . I had it painted because of severe stone chips from Big Mac Trucks .. it looks new ! Many people with my car unfortunately have paint peeling problems … that should get recalled .

Hey honda cars are not ugly! They are fuel efficient vehicles too 😁 i only drove 1 a few years back and i hear its still drives as well as before inspite old and inefficient maintenance due to financial constraints and know how of then and now owners, we lovingly referred to her as “herbie” shows her love for its owner by the timing she breaks down when you are safely wherever you want to go. ❤❤❤❤❤ i miss that car! 😁

I have this exact same car in the same color too, crazy car, aggressive look, a lot of room on the inside, and a lot of space in the luggage The only thing you can say about this version (126hp) is that you know a better version (186hp) exist with same space ecc so you would prefere that one but there's a difference of 5k cash and it was a big of a deal for a person like me who has not a lot of money Another thing is that the type r spoiler looks so good on this car so you can think of just adding that on. I love this car it has everything I need and i am so happy to have this one as my very first car

I have sedan of this with 1.5t cvt, in my country turkey, i am generally fastest car on the road unless there is a Porsche. Definitely some people love this car, especially kids, they shout at me : mr your car is very beautiful. Handling is very nice, and more spacious than any competitor. Well done Honda engineers with 10th gen.

While me still driving my dad's Civic SH4 1990 MANUAL, the rngine still runs fine, and its currently on 463k km on the odometer, might start to save up these few years to get myself an fc or fe, the civic sh4 definitely ain't gon survive in 5years, but hell it'll be a very bliss moment if it still works, definitely gonna bring that civic to car event when in 2030, a 40-year old car

My girlfriends got a 2018 Honda Civic turbo 1.5 L. It has the eco-boost mode. It’s actually a really neat car the eco-boost on it is amazing for downshifting down hills or just flat holding the speed better than any car a have driven most cars just want to speed up and coast to go faster down the hill. But then, when you take off the ecobboo boost, it’s actually a pretty Zippy car. The handling is amazing. The brakes are really good to the backseat completely folds down flat so if you have animals or if you need to pull over and take a nap in the back your car or whatever you can totally do that with this car.

Had a 2001 manual accord, had almost 200,000k on it had been passed around from tech to tech as a beater/ daily driver. Loved most its life in the northeast and an aftermarket intake. Besides some rust here and there man when that car rev’d out that vtec was still very clean feeling and noticeably fast. And nothing beats that induction vtec noise. Only thing anyone would do to it was change oil, plugs, tires and brakes. Unfortunately when I had it the clutch stuck to the floor in traffic and slave went out but other than that, and being a cheap carefree car it was to this day one of my favorites and most reliable cars. And is still going all on factory clutch which still feels amazing somehow lol. Honda definitely makes some great cars with bulletproof motors. Now they’re still reliable cars but passports and pilots can have some major electrical issues and it’s the body harnesses and faulty airbags etc. but damn are they one of very few companies that have gotten better and better over the years and haven’t fallen.

Dude as a mechanic a civic is literally one of the best cars you can get. Even the new ones are ok even new cars are junk. I personally love and would recommend the 7th and 8th gen to anyone who asks cause I’m gonna be honest; 35 miles a gallon combined is really nice on an 8th gen

The last two generations of civic basically abandoned the original formula that made the car so popular. Light, compact car with a high revving NA engine. Civic fans didnt want a bigger civic that competed with the corolla. If anything we wanted a smaller, lighter car. I have an 8th gen Si sedan and a 9th gen Si coupe. Ive owned Corvettes, BMW 3 series, two different generations of STI, and a handful of Camaros and Mustangs. I always come back to the Hondas. For a fun daily that you can rely on to always start, is simple and relatively inexpensive to maintain, is a blast to drive and wont break the bank on insurance the Civic Si is difficult to beat in its price range. Ford tried with the Festiva and Focus ST and we all know how that went.

Indeed, my 79 Honda Civic hatchback wasn't winning beauty pageants, but it had a ton or room for me and three passengers. I'm six feet 2" and never had a problem getting in and out of it. The only knock against the early models was that (although incredibly reliable, and easy to work on) the engines were small and needed lots of work after the 136k mile marker. They were affordable back then as well.
