Just because your friend didn't know about it doesn't mean the person being "pranked" wasn't in on it. I find it very hard to believe that people still don't recognize them on the streets after 7 seasons and all the success they've been having for the last couple of years, maybe it was real at first but I suspect that they have to use more and more "hired" people to participate as time passes for 2 main reasons: 1 because they have become increasingly more recognizable as the show grew. 2 because after all these years they need new stuff and a lot of it looks really over the top right now.

If you need to believe it's real that's fine, but if you watch the show and actually pay attention you'll see that a lot of the reactions are either way over the top or too permissive to be real, some of them look real, some doesn't, I think they have both. It's almost impossible for a prank show to be entirely real once it gets as big as this one has got.

Maybe is you who can't tell the difference. I remember one when they had to get high 5s from random people in the park and for every single missed attempt one piece of clothing was removed and there's one guy who is supposed to be just passing by that gives one of the most ridiculous cliff-hanger-like moves I've ever seen, a regular person would never do that, also there was this other episode where they had to shake stranger's hands for as long as possible and Q starts speaking some sort of spy-code to a guy who doesn't understand and starts to say "what does it mean?" 10 or 15 times in a row and doesn't change his tone or walk away which was also hard to believe a common person would do... Those are just 2 examples from the top of my head but there are several other smaller ones during a number of episodes, specially later ones. And the show is not the biggest thing on TV but is big enough for them to get recognized more often than not on the streets, they have been getting a 0.5 rating constantly for the past 2 years (which is roughly over 1 millions viewers per episode), have youtube videos with more than 8 million views and over 1 thousand official videos, almost 1 million followers on twitter and so on... They should be getting recognized non-stop while recording the episodes, which would make the shootings very impractical (pun intended) on a regular basis.

Look, everything is possible, it's just not likely that a normal person would do stuff like this, but the fact is you can't prove that everything on the show is real the same way I can't prove it is fake, this is all speculation from both of us so get off your high horse for a second thinking you are the all-mighty judge of realness. Also your constant need for name-calling just tells me you are an insecure person who can't have a discussion without trying to put yourself in a position of pseudo-superiority. If you don't want to admit that an entertainment show is capable of faking stuff up then that's your choice, but saying that like you think you know everything is to rely on a very arrogant state of mind, just be aware of this. Another thing is that awful explanation the video has about people appearing in multiple episodes, like someone would participate in a focus group, learn that it was a TV prank show, proceed to sign a release to be on TV and then go again, on another focus group, with the same guys of the TV show and have no recollection of that fact afterwards like is something completely normal, come on now, that's specially hard to buy.

Yeah we filmed a local movie in the woods with a bunch of teenagers. They paid us in food and beverages of the adult variety and like $50 each and their budget still went over 20k and the movie I was in I never went and watched because it was so bad 😂 they had to rent all kinds of camp ground space and cars and generators and shit to have light in the middle of the woods.
