You don’t understand enough. The Romans are my ancestors, as well as many others. You forget that Romans 13 in the Bible states that , There is no authority but of God .The authorities that exist are ordained of God. And , he that resists that authority resists the ordinace of God. And, they that resist will receive wrath, because they don’t bear the Sword in vain. That Sword is the wrath of God against evildoers. Rome fought the Barbarian tribes for centuries and subdued them -by God’s authority. It wasn’t their own authority, although He gave them the seat of it, which was Rome. Later, that seat was moved by Constantine, because of all the civil wars , threats of barbarian take-over, and the corruption of the Senate. They failed to put Rome first. God raised up Constantine, moved the Capital snd established Roman Authority in its proper form, freeing Christians all over the Empire, and Constantine , and his mother Helen were also Christians. Daniel is not speaking of Rome destroying the believers in Christ. Really? In view of Constantine it would be impossible to prove. Also , Jesus foretold of the destruction of Jerusalem, and He told the Jews that if they refused to believe that he was the “I Am” in John 8, God the Son, then they would die in their sins . That’s what happened in 70 AD when Titus besieged Jerusalem. But the occasion was the rebellion of the Jews against the Authority that God put them under. They killed the Roman garrison at Jerusalem. So Vespasian sent Titus. The Jews, Herod, and not Rome were the murderers of the Messiah. It may have been by the hand of the Roman’s , weaponizing their power against Jesus. But they were not responsible. If not, then how could Jesus say from the cross,”Father forgive them, for they know not what they do “. The Jews knew what they did, but the Roman’s did not, and did not find any fault with Jesus. That was a true statement , because after he was crucified a Roman soldier said , truly this was God’s Son. If they were forgiven , then how could Daniel impute the opposite ??

Pilatus didn't want to order Jesus killing , he actually felt bad for him , Pilatus isn't a believer he is roman , he went outside gathered ppl , brought out a serial killer alongside Jesus , n asked the ppl who they want , in hopes to save Jesus , the choosed Jesus to die , At the end of the day Pilatus is in authority he is the one that makes the final say , even though he told everyone that he doesn't agree with the outcome and washed his hands saying he is free of his blood Infront of the crowd It's Jesus that make judgement I think Jesus will forgive him
