Appreciate your videos. You don't hold anything back. Just just walking backwards or tib curls against wall made huge difference. So does assisted step downs. I'm 69 soon to be 70 purchased mobility box. Very versatile piece of equipment and well made. Thanks Ben and family for sharing. Please keep your mother and other seniors in your videos. It's inspiration and motivation for a sometimes forgotten group of people. Happy Holidays

I asked ChatGPT the same question. And it actually referenced you, Ben. This is a portion of it (in the key points portion of the answer): Strength and Mobility: Movements that allow the knees to travel over the toes can strengthen the muscles and tendons around the knee, improving resilience and functionality. Programs like those advocated by Ben Patrick ("Knees Over Toes Guy") emphasize building strength in this position to reduce knee pain and enhance athletic performance.

This channel is the best. Thank you again. I'd be interested in an update on how the dunking (as an awesome metric of performance) has progressed through the years. Have you plateaued? Have you felt any effects of age? Are you still on track to be dunking when your son throws his first down?
@TheKneesovertoesguy22 күн бұрын
Thank you so much!! Most of the past 5 years (since having kids) I was just training in my yard and not practicing dunking on a weekly or even monthly basis. I was more obsessed on scalability and how smooth I could get the system. Now I know my basics and I’ve been pleasantly surprised to find how easily I can maintain dunking without practice. As a result, I’m very confident I’ll still be dunking when my son can. However, as of just 2 weeks ago, I’ve started measuring my vertical jump once per week. It’s looking good and in 2025 my goal is a lifetime best. The reason is that in addition to the weight lifting system, I want a smooth sprint and jump system my kids can grow up with. So I’m actually doing our youth training system myself! And I’ll keep at it until it makes me go even higher. I’ll do videos on what I find. 🙏

I had a partial meniscectomy (left meniscus was shredded) and my doctor told me to avoid deep squats (and I still have some pain going into a deep squat), Does your method still work or is it counterindicated after meniscus injuries?
@TheKneesovertoesguy18 күн бұрын
Sorry to hear about the meniscus issue. Have actually helped many with their meniscus pain, this is the first of s series of videos addressing knee ability, can be a great route to follow when ready and the first step is backwards walking.

@TheKneesovertoesguy Hello Thank-you for replying. I'm a Canadian Inventor that flexes all my muscles in the opposite direction through gravity in reverse. I've made attempts in the past to contact you. I have over 600 videos where I do all exercises the in wrong flex. I've called it Anti-Gravity Flexing. I can do reverse flexing horizontal pull ups. I do reverse flexing against gravity everything (Squats, Deadlifts etc.) I would really like to talk with you further. What you are doing is also evolutionary. Cheers. If you can do Atg split squat without pain, can you skip step ups?
@TheKneesovertoesguy22 күн бұрын
Great question! Let’s observe: Going downhill is a natural human experience. Strengthens the knees! BUT life happens, knee pain, injury… so we may lose a lot of strength in that ability. So for knee rehab, reverse step ups have been consistently life changing. But if you have healthy knees, and particularly if you have some activities in life such as running and jumping… Well then the DEEP squatting becomes the key point! Because it’s about balance. Example: I play basketball. The knees are under a lot of load but never through a deep range of motion. Therefore, yep, I can just do deep squats and maintain knees above the norm for basketball. Recap: the deep work is the more crucial part for modern life. But the reverse step ups can be key to getting back to your activities, and can always be used as a boost. Hope that helps!

Please consider flexing into the ground on the way down. I'm a Canadian inventor that flexes the opposite way against gravity. I would love to talk with you further about my theories. "The kind of persin that's willing to venture down through the depths of the earth and confront the darkness all around, with the light and power of the Lord our God if Israel, for their family, friends or a complete stranger in need, that's who I'd want on my team." I started a youtube channel and have over 600 videos working out in the opposite direction into Gravity. The Science books are going to have to be rewritten. I've even pulled off a technique to run faster. This is the real deal. I really think you'll undetstand how game changing this is. I've been attempting to contact the Institute of Human Anatomy. To help prove my findings.@@TheKneesovertoesguy
