I never understood what that meant. I tried reading about Luisa Picarreta Divine will but I found it more confusing. Father did an excellent job at explaining it in practical terms that we can all understand. Simply to choose the path that doesn't go against God's commandments and most importantly do everything out of love for God and your neighbor. Excellent teaching! Thank you Ken!

I think the confusion is not only that we don’t believe God loves us but that we don’t know what love is. And we moreso question if we are truly loving God. Most of us doubt we are loving God because we’re sinners so then we also doubt that we are lovable or deserving of love from God and/or others. We are taught by society that love is a “feeling “ or a tangible thing. This is not true love. Feelings are a fruit of love but true love is a decision and much like faith it’s not necessarily something we can “see” or sense (feel) except for the joy that is derived from true love. So simply put, we KNOW God loves us or else He would not have created us or given His Son on the Cross to save us. Jesus died on the Cross knowing we would continue to sin and also knowing that we can NEVER pay Him back for what He’s done. But He did it anyway because He loves us with unconditional (Agape) love! So whether we “feel” the love or not, we can have FAITH in God’s Love for us. We in turn should seek to love Him unconditionally as best we can. But how? Simply by desiring to do so and telling Him often. Love is a choice/a decision. So decide today to love Jesus and tell Him by saying, “I open my heart to You Jesus. I give You Jesus this day because I love You.” And as you go about your day: “I do my job today for You because I love You, I drive today for love of You, I eat with and for You out of Love for You, I make this decision because I love You…..etc” And God will never be outdone in love. Before you know it you will instinctively KNOW that you ARE loved because the fruit of love is joy and peace of soul! Then in everything you do you will WANT to do it to please God and serve others. It becomes part of you and your decisions will be geared towards the same-pleasing God=joy! This will eradicate all fear and hesitation in making decisions and in everything you do. It’s beautiful!

I'm a 28 year-old practicing Catholic still living at home with no kids and not married yet although there is a beautiful woman in my life that I pray I can marry one day because she's been an absolute blessing in my life. I'm also repeating my first semester in nursing school. Feeling down in the dumps and feeling crushed because I seem to be facing more setbacks and frustration than fulfillment enjoy. I find myself struggling in the very same class that I am repeating and have given myself the ultimatum that if I fail another exam I'm going to take the hint and do something else, withdrawing from the program taking the hint that this is not what God wants for me. Probably the most informative video I have watched on this subject. I’ve been struggling to find God’s will in a petition I have been waiting for an answer for. I’m at a crossroads where I’m scared to pray more about it since I fear it may be disobedient or against God’s will. I don’t want to trick myself into believing in a false hope, but I have seen how immense faith pays off in the Bible. Now I understand that we don’t have perfect knowledge, and God will help bring the best out of my prayers even if I still don’t know how he will answer me.

This has been very helpful. Many times because who I am will not allow me to do otherwise. Example, God has given me everything I have, we have money saved for our retirement. Someone in my family asks to borrow some. I loan it to them, but they don’t pay it back. I have learned to be fine with that. God will provide, he has in the past and I believe he will now and in the future.

Each of two prospects seemed that we could serve the Lord at either place. Hi Laurie I felt the same way you did. I felt that being happy with my choices was somehow sinful and doesn't lead you closer to sanctification. But now I realized that's not the case as long as you are following God's commandments and doing everything out of love for God. This teaching really helped me to understand.

Jesus explained this to the Servant of God Luisa Piccarreta. God is longing to give His Divine Will as a gift to us which Adam enjoyed until he willed to give primacy to his human will over the Divine Will. So, now, you have the chance to "possess" God's Divine Will as a "gift". This is so real and how the Blessed Mother possessed God in a continuous mode even while She was on Earth. In the Wedding at Cana, Jesus's response to Mary did not indicate that He is going to "do" something, but Mary turned to the stewards and told them "Do whatever He tells you". How did She know that Jesus is going to "do" something? The answer is simple; She possessed the gift of the Divine Will. Also, how do you know if the Saints in Heaven are going to give you a shortcut path to get your prayers answered? The answer is simple again; The Saints in Heaven possess the "Will of God" (Well, not independently of their own will but precisely inside of it). We are not engineered to figure out God's Will by the power of our freewill, but as a Son who perpetually lives in the House of the Father uses the gifts of the Father to give Him "Perfect Glory". Perfect glory can only be given by a creature to the Creator when the Creature possesses the perfect Will of God. Since this topic deserves a much greater learning, God chose the "Little Daughter of the Divine Will" to educate us and to return this gift to Humanity. Please research more and please don't give up. John 12:28 - Father, glorify Your name!” Then a voice came from heaven: “I have glorified it, and I will glorify it again.”

What about discerning between two extremely hard options, non of which is sinful, but both can be possibly traumatic in effect? People find themselves in such situations as well, where their decisions have hard effect on others, and themselves. This situations can and don't have to be result of previous sinful actions that led them in that place.

If God knew, for instance, how would he permit the soul to be infused if he knew the baby would be aborted? Please dont hate me, I am recently reverted Catholic and im curious.
