I think the warmth surrounding the downtown region is wonderfully stated. To add to this- a huge pro is the economic planning. Edgewater, Crossprairie, Sunbridge, Roan Bridge will all provide localized jobs and businesses that can help drive St. Cloud’s market. Yes, traffic is a con. However, the Turnpike will be doubling in lanes, a new interchange is being built at Nolte, and Osceola Parkway will be extended. To me, the future is so bright for this city because of the growth, despite the short-term pain points.

St Cloud affordable!? Houses are very high in prices. Commute time is getting horrible and schools are overloaded. It's beautiful but it's getting too crowded.

Yup, we are leaving in the next 5 months, we can't take living here anymore with the awful traffic and the ridiculous insurance rates. We are headed to Kentucky where things are half or less and pay is actually much higher!

Well, do you have a few of the highlights? What about the city wanting to make a lot of the residential drags like Lakeshore Boulevard commercial real estate, which will destroy the hometown field what are your thoughts on that?

St. Cloud here! I agree with all the cons! We also moved in 2020 before the housing prices went up so we could be close to Disney. We don’t mind the drive- Glad we did when we did. Because last year most the homes on our street were for sale at nearly 100k more! 500-550k for our neighborhood- no way! And that’s without a pool. We are seeing however, multi generational living - our next door neighbor has 4 cars and various relatives all moved in the last year and a half- and across the street as well. If that’s just our nice street ( Steven plantation area) how many others are there? Thats proof of the struggling economy.

Don't, just don't go there. We live right on East Lake toho on the Kissimmee line and I can tell you St Cloud has turned into a nightmare to get around in. They have very little roads and traffic on 192 backs up for miles each day both directions. English is becoming more and more rare as I have gone in their Walmart multiple times and asked for an item just to be told they don't speak English. If you are ready for a 1 hour commute each way and getting worse by the year then by all means. Remember, there is only 1 or 2 ways out of that town, 192 or Narcoosee and both are parking lots most of the day. You are trapped and I would highly suggest you look at other cities with better roads and access to them. More and more of the old locals are leaving and going to the Carolinas and Tennessee while the NY/NJ crew is all moving in. We are moving in the next 5 months, it's become unbearable living in this town anymore and my wife was offered a job in Kentucky for far more pay than Orlando offers and we are taking it. Good luck St cloud.
