I wish I had found your videos when my GSD was a younger puppy. Many of the training videos I watched used treats so generously, that I just felt like my hand was a conveyor belt to his mouth. It started to seem he’d only follow commands if a treat was in my hand. I’ve been watching your videos for a few weeks and now my dog listens even when I don’t give treats. He just turned a year old.

Maybe filinimg the training? I paid my dog trainor to train me! MY boxer was just being herself, I was the one that was totally foolish! She ate 2 couches ,Multiple dog beds, And wouldnt walk on a leash. Lol! She was jumping from COUCH, 2 Loveseat, To Couch and back, Until, 1 am, My husband was reading the paper in the am, w/ his hot coffee. And she did it! Boing !! Up amd spilled HOT coffee all over his stomach. He just woke up, so no shirt. I was like at my end. I hired a great woman, dog trainor to train me. I ❤️ learned alot, in a short time, and for 13 wonderful years,She was a loyal, well behaved, social dog, that I did walk daily on a leash!It was worth every penny! RIP my BF, Roxy velvet Biamonte.

To add, Learning how to train my Boxer, prepared me, I never thought I was going to have anofherBF,But this pug, PICKED me, and I was ready, Coco Channel Biamonte, was with me, till 2020. I ❤️ had another best friend for another 13 wonderful years! I have seen many puppies since her passing, But have yet been picked - You dog ppl get it! I didn't pick them, They both picked me. Roxy, It was her ears going straigbt UP, when I met her, when my twins cried ! I ❤️ knew she heard them, and picked me ,in that moment. My pug, she literally started sucking on my long hair lol! And, nippling my neck! Lol , and I was like , She is mine! She picked me! 💞🙏⭐️🙏💞💞💞🙏⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🙏⭐️🙏⭐️🙏⭐️🙏⭐️💞💞💞💞💞💞

Maybe YOU were paying too much attention to DD doing his thing. YES, it is addictive, anyway, back to it, i am only assuming, but it looked like the "Kids" were on their phones but the parent(s) are the ones he was talking to (probably the owners of the dogs). you could see one of them come into frame, then later lean on the chair.

Yes! This is exactly how we trained our two dogs and it works so well. The only thing is... When our friends were looking after them for a week, I forgot to tell them that they needed to be clear with the dogs when they ARE allowed to eat what's put in front of them. So our poor friends couldn't understand why the dogs weren't eating their dinner when it was put on the floor but just sat there looking at it, then looking at them, just waiting to be told that they can have it. they actually called us up on holiday to ask if that was normal. 😂😅

I taught leave it by accident lol. I was sitting on the floor watching a movie and my pups wanted popcorn…but they went all in like crazy dogs….so while I watched tv, I held my hand cupped over a piece of popcorn….they tried and tried to get it and I would say “don’t touch” and then finally, when they stopped and stared at me, I let them have it. Now when they hear “don’t touch”, they wait. :) I messed up my verbal commands so badly….I wasn’t ever really trying to train them. It just happened. These dogs are so damn smart. If I want my dogs to get out of my way or leave a room (usually because I’m tripping over them) I have to say “out”. That began when I was yelling “get out” 🤣. So now they associate “out” for it
@1234lowkey

Repetition in daily life is way more effective than formal obedience taught in a class. Your dogs will learn what they see from you on a daily basis. They’re your dogs so you can use whichever commands you like. Some teach in German, some teach leave it, you teach don’t touch. Either way, your dogs still understand and respond to your command. Doesn’t sound like you messed anything up at all. 👍
@pysvtfa4

Agreed. I trained my pit in Latin because I didn’t want other people telling her what to do. My current dog was fostered by a service dog trainer. I stumbled on her version of “leave it” is “focus”. She was distracted one day and I said “you need to focus”. When I said “focus” she locked on to my face with her eyes and gave me all of her attention. She’s so good. Wish I knew who her foster was so I could thank her.

Hello, these are all wonderful videos! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with dog lovers all over the world! By chance would you be able to create a video explaining how to train recall with your dog and being able to recall the dog at a busy dog park? We have a large breed german/king shepherd-husky mix, very sweet attentive behavior, quite challenging to maintain proper recall with alot of distractions around her. Thank so much again for offering your gifted talent to all Cheers!

I trained my dogs with many of the same techniques. I have 4 Chihuahuas. I trained rhem the same way i would a large dog. Everyone is amazed by how social, friendly and calm they are. The corrections do not last forever, i rarely use them now as a simple hand gesture or sound works. The key is being calm and patient (consistency also 😊). DD is excellent at gauging what each dog needs.

And, kept pushing her nose, away from my food. I can't make miracles, happen as Im not her owner, She"s my son's dog. However, when I am babysitting, Luna knows who is the pack leader. She is very well behaved, when I am there. She goes to bed in her crate,happily. Then when mom and Dad ,come home, she starts crying! Lol! Hehhe gotta love them!! I have to get her a winter sweater.

He’s so eager so pushy and I thought that was a sign that they’re not that bright 😢😮 until he said that Lenny it’s bright and eager to learn and that’s why she’s pushy, my dogs behavior it’s so similar to Lenny😅 The down and doing a 360 it took a 1st try ,she stayed down while I walked around him 😮 He’s almost 4 years old this whole time I ah be a very smart dude 😂❤ Thank you for educating us.
