The video is structured in a top-down way. That means that we first have a look at the Range Rover Sport market and some general price levels. We will also compare the prices between the various trim levels such as the SVR, Supercharged, Autobiography, and HSE. After this, we will investigate the depreciation curve. This reveals that the depreciation rates are indeed quite high. The SVR loses its value the quickest. In the third step I will compare the rates of the HSE, Autobiography, and SVR to the ones of the Porsche Cayenne Turbo. After all, only with such an comparison we can find out if the depreciation rates on a Range Rover are high or low. The analysis reveals that the prices of the cayenne turbo are almost the same as the one of the RR Sport. At the end of the video I will also compare the rates of the range rover to all of the other cars I have analysed on the channel. This reveals that the depreciation rates on the range rover are indeed high, but that this is common for the luxury SUV segment. Hence, the conclusions is that the depreciation rate for a range rover is high when you compare it to a normal car. However, when you compare it to its peer, you will see that it is in line with the rates in the luxury suv segment.
Note that all the prices are advertised prices.
