@Susan Howell when you're 45 that's, when you really start living your life, my life is really full right now, and I'm so happy about that, I can't stand it when you have women, but they're not their children, they're teenagers, it's utterly disgusting, there are such entitled people, they think the world owes them something when it doesn't owe them anything at all. You have a women today who want to be called queens when they're not the best word for a woman is a woman, because a woman knows her worth and value but these women don't know their worth, and that's just sad.

It's not the age that makes her look crazy. It's the surgery upon surgery, procedure upon procedure. Plus she's kind of a shitty person. So people feel like it's ok. You never see people go after Dolly Parton or Betty White. For the record, I am not saying it's ok. I do think she's had trauma and that's why she is the way she is. If people want to call her out, it should not be about her looks. It should be about her personality.

I like her intentions, but it gets a bit garbled as she cant seem to get her narrative straight. She fell into the role of "feminist icon" by accident. Her rise to it began with a comment that she was thought it was funny that for an audition, it was requested all actresses show up in a tight tank top. The next thing you know, she's shaving her head and publicizing herself as the face of a revolution. But, in the end she is an actress, and it's a little telling how many times its mentioned that she is unhappy with not getting acting roles. Everything bad that happens seems to be someone else's fault.

Her ex manager killed herself Wednesday. Now that Jill can no longer speak for herself, it’s time to set the record straight. In January 1997, Jill was an entry level manager at Addis Wechsler. One of her first clients was Rose McGowan, and one of Jill’s first duties was to set up a breakfast meeting with Harvey Weinstein during the Sundance Film Festival. Following the meeting, Rose told Jill what had happened - that she made the decision to remove her clothes and get in the hot tub with him - a mistake which Rose immediately regretted. Rose never once used the word rape in that conversation. Despite this, Jill recognized that Harvey had done something untoward to Rose, if not illegal. She immediately went to her bosses, the partners of Addis Wechsler, to recount Rose’s story and to insist that they immediately address the situation. They told Jill that they would handle the situation. The ensuing arrangements between Rose and Harvey were then negotiated, completely without Jill’s knowledge. At that time, all Jill knew was that the matter was settled and that Rose continued making films with the Weinsteins. AGAIN ! Rose told Jill what had happened - that she made the decision to remove her clothes and get in the hot tub with him - a mistake which Rose immediately regretted. Rose never once used the word rape in that conversation. What a Fing hypocrite ! She says he grabbed her and her head was just spinning and he pushed her down and removed her clothes and she was just FROZEN. She is a LIAR and I have been saying this all along. Wake up people !!!

I agree with McGowan about not getting enough support, but now it seems like she is stuck in the past and she can't get out of it. I have been in similar situations, but not as serious and severe, but it helps me to understand a little of how hard it is to grow past certain wounds and scarring. My heart goes out to her. She seems to still be struggling with her trauma. It would help her enormously if other women in the spotlight stood beside her, maybe even employed her for example. Why is she being ostracized for being a victim? For taking down a monster? People are too scared to be associated with her in case it negatively affects their own careers. I understand it, but it saddens me.

The final truth in 11 minutes? Sounds dubious. Poor Rose has led a life too interesting for her own good. Her parents clearly didn't help. I do very much get the impression though that her endless culture war battles have become a replacement for actually coming to terms with her PTSD. I mean, she has basically emulated the psychological mode of those she hates but just directs it a different object. The truth is though, imo, that the way we get somewhere is often more meaningful than our specific destination.
