I wonder if the harpsichord would stay in tune long enough for a full performance ;) love this - thank you so much for sharing!

Then it would sound more like Lucier's I'm sitting in a room.

Why shouldn't it keep less in tune? It's onlu a matter of precision.

@@philippefritsch1892 Harpsichords go out of tune very easily and have to be tuned before each performance.

@@@korhonenmikko It all depends how they are being treated. A good harpsichord, even an antique one, keeps in tune quite well, unless it faces bad general conditions (changes in temperature and humidity etc.) A piano, in fact, isn't any better, but one doesn't notice it being out of tune, as in the case of a harpsichord.

This adds a whole new dimension of bizarre to an already bizarre composition. Thanks.

This is GENIUS!! Bravo!! And I cannot believe that I was listening to another video that you uploaded, and Satie immediately came to my mind. And just right after that I burst into this!! 😍👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

It's certainly well inside Satie's idea to create something as meaningless as this - and the tuning suits it very well - the vexations are all the diminished triads unresolved - but that even a JI version adds something more vexing again :-)
