As christians, we should see having sex as a normal routine within a marriage. It’s God’s greatest gift for us. Because there’s so much sexual immorality, God commanded us to get married so that we can have that one partner to enjoy sex with. Sex is never dirty and shameful because it’s created by God for us to enjoy, and our parents had sex in order for us to be in this world today. The obvious reason for sex is to procreate, where a man and a woman join their sexual organs together and subsequently the joining of their sex cells to produce a baby. But God also wants us to enjoy the physical and emotional bonding that comes with sex.

@@ToriAndChad I didn’t even know sex was meant to be the way you explained until seeing this video, and I was raised in a Christian family, it’s sad. What you explained, that’s what I want, not what culture shoves down my throat. I wish I would have known, otherwise I wouldn’t have made certain decisions in the past and struggled with lust and addiction to pornography. But that’s in the past, and I am infinitely forgiven. What a great topic! My husband and I were really struggling to resist because we started dating in high school where we heard every day what everyone else was doing and it was hard to not push the limits. We ended up breaking up after two years because we had crossed set boundaries too many times and our relationship was not centered around God anymore, but around each other and our desires for each other. We still loved each other like crazy and we wrote letters until we got back to our hometown at the start of COVID. My man immediately asked to see me again and asked if he could date me again. However, this time we decided to not even kiss to eliminate any opportunity for crossing boundaries. A couple months later he proposed to me and asked me to marry him by the end of the summer. We were engaged for only 6 weeks and it made it sooooooo much easier to not feel crazy temptation knowing I was with my future husband. We are so grateful that we waited and it has helped us to start our relationship centered AROUND GOD and not on each other. If anyone reading this is experiencing this struggle, you can ALWAYS start over! We found that it helped to take a break from each other and start with a clean slate. It was also most helpful to not even kiss since we weren't good at setting situational boundaries. It is so worth the wait and it makes it so much more special to wait.

i love the way y’all approached this. purity culture creates such a toxic mindset of fear in girls & i hope that the church begins to lean into girls and show them into deep love for God rather than shame/fear of sex before marriage. when we are so in love with God we WANT to honor Him because of how much our hearts and minds are aligned with his. also i just got married and can see how much the Lord blesses those who keep His commandments and seek His heart in dating relationships🤍

"Purity culture is toxic" oh yeah? Are Jesus and Saint Paul also toxic? They said that those who sin will burn in hell (except those who believe in the name of Christ and repent) They said that if you engage in these types of sin (sexual immorality) you would be barred from entering the kingdom of God. Purity culture echoes what the Bible says word for word, i dont see the problem.

When you started crying Tori I felt that. As a single mother who was never married, I still feel shame for having a kid out of wedlock when most of my friends are married with a few kids. I would say "I did this out of order so now ill never get a Godly relationship because of this baggage." However, I now know that this is a lie. @@ToriAndChad I am a Christian woman who married my husband on Feb 21, 2016, divorced him on Dec 13, 2019, and reconciled (not legally) on Dec 24, 2019, and, although I haven’t felt the urge from God to get legally remarried, we realized that we still love each other and want to be together. So, we do have sex, and I want to say that, unlike my past sexual relationships outside of marriage, I don’t feel the guilt or shame. I will say that I’m a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to my faith (praying, reading my bible etc.), but, in my particular situation, I’m not sure how to fully perceive it because I know that on one hand sex outside of marriage is a sin, but on the other hand God wants us to reconcile if possible, and I’ve read through my bible once, and I’m on my second time from beginning to end and, unless I missed something, I didn’t see where it said we had to reconcile on paper to be considered husband and wife again🤷🏻‍♀️ Anyways, I just thought that I’d share my story and get some opinions outside of my own on this particular subject. 💗Jen from AK

I ended a relationship 3 months ago because I found God and my heart shifted away from sexual sin and towards purity. What Chad was saying is so true. Sex outside of marriage isn’t real love. You love what the other person can do for you. You use them for your own physical pleasure. It’s selfish - the opposite of what love is (love is not self seeking). Seeing you two talk about this makes my heart so full of joy for when I find my future wife who also shares these values. Can’t wait to watch part 2 and part 3!

What you both said about lies being fed in your mind, it's so apt! I'm 20 and in college and yes im waiting for the right person but in college, I have always been laughed at for the same. It's hard to keep your mind on track when everyone around you says you are wrong or dumb to think like that but I'm doing my best. Waiting for the right person may not seem right to some people now, but it will seem right later and it will be too late by then. The culture everywhere in the world is now to just treat humans as objects and it blows my mind. And about the songs, it's so true. It's really upsetting to see women to encourage all this. And it's not in the States. It's everywhere unfortunately. This was so insightful ❤️ love you guys ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Love this video! My fiancé and I just graduated undergrad and grad school and are finally getting married in October! But going through college (even a Christian college) as Christians, it’s been really tough to stay pure of heart, especially when fewer and fewer friends are holding us accountable out of not wanting to “judge” us and other couples. But we both kind of wish that we had friends who were couples that held us accountable while still being honest about the common struggles. Watching your video kinda made me feel like we had that couple friends to keep us accountable and speak truth. The waiting until marriage when your almost married has been really tough and even tougher as we’ve had to push back plans due to the pandemic. Thank you guys for sharing honest struggles but still speaking truth and life! ❤️

Don't feel bad. There is nothing wrong with making love to someone you are in love with and deeply committed to. Expressing your feelings for your beloved is a healthy and normal thing to do. There are much better things to do in life than obsess about 'staying pure'. If you have the urge, and feel you are in a place in your relationship where you are ready, do it. It is much better than repressing your feelings.

I just found your channel from the Earls vlog!! I appreciate your sharing and honesty and the boundaries you set! My husband and I have been married 23 years and we had very strong boundaries set straight from the beginning of our dating. We are so happy we had no regrets in our dating. What you said about the trust you can have for your husband after you’re married and you have to be apart sometimes resonated with me. I say the same thing to my daughters and my friends when we talk about the principles and boundaries we had when we dated. If my husband was able to be strong to wait till after marriage I can have a stronger trust in him to stay faithful to me after we’re married. God has blessed us with 23 beautiful years together! It just gets better. Life has been extremely hard for us but we are stronger because of it. God bless your channel!

I’m not a Christian, but I have always had very similar views on this. I’ve always seen it as something special to be shared with your spouse. I never understood why anyone would risk creating life with someone they had not committed to spending the rest of their life with. I hate how society paints people with our views as unhealthy or ‘suppressed’ when we’re actually the ones who have a healthy view of sex.

Thank you so much for being honest! I am 34 and separated from my husband of 12 years, together 15 years. He was my first and we didn’t wait. I held onto so much guilt from that over the years. So, this video is relevant for many different people. Thank you for speaking out on all of these issues we encounter in dating. This is great!!

Not all churches are keeping quiet about sex. My church preaches on the lies of the sexual culture and how Satan gets a hold on you through the lust of the flesh in deceiving ways promising fulfillment. But it does need to be talked more about especially to young teenagers. This is a great Video. Thank you!

I think it’s the other way around. What God meant for good the enemy turned to evil. But yes God can turn what Satan made evil into something good. God is all powerful and all knowing. He planned everything first. Satan only thought it was his idea but really it was God’s idea. So what I mean is God meant for sex between a married man and woman to be good. God created man and woman to have sexual relationships within the bonds of marriage.

Tori, your video "Getting Past Your Past," when you said that, will truly break chains. I think we can all encourage you that the Lord has put that video on your heart for a reason, because it is a message that really needs to be shared. I literally just see so many being healed. Girl, am praying the Lord anoints and uses your beautiful heart to share this word! Again, it will break chains. *Side note. I paused the video, just to quickly post this, but in listening to you, Tori, you have a VOICE. You truly do, and it is anointed. And Chad, you're such a tender-hearted man! It is so encouraging to see that men like you do exist, that are sincere and chase God's heart. Such an encouragement. So thankful for you guys!!

Agree. It takes time to adjust from always covering up to suddenly being naked in front of someone and from abstaining from sex to enjoying sex. Just go at your own comfortable pace but remember to communicate with your spouse about your fears and insecurities.

I totally relate! My husband and I never had sex before marriage with anyone, but I did have a past of being physical and obsessed with wanting to feel wanted and it was a very empty feeling. I did not understand unconditional love and often got my faith and worldly view confused. I am so glad you spoke a bit on the reality of sex and how it is not glamorous, but in fact even better despite that. I 100% agree with all of this, and as a Christian myself that is tired of other KZbin Christians being ignorant and insensitive to those who are not of the same beliefs, I am SO relieved to see a genuinely kind couple just wanting to bring a new perspective to someone who may not have seen it that way before. Thank you for the content!

I love you guys! My inspiration. I love walking a journey of purity, it's pretty exciting for me!!! I have also noticed that sometimes as we explain what is right or wrong, we are pinned down by common or our own experiences. Because I have met and seen people who have intercourse before marriage and they still fair so well in life. But generally, we stay pure to glorify God

Captivated by the video right from the start because: 1. We definitely need more insight to this topic . 2. Healthy discussion is so so important (thank you to both of you ✨) 3. How less it is talked about especially from how God want to protect us in most genuine way . 4 . It has become a trend to believe in lies about sex and just to be the part of "the culture " and not addressing the real stuff behind it . THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR HAVING THE CONVERSATION ❤ LOVED YOUR VIEWS ON IT . TRULY TRULY INSIGHTFUL AND WORTH LISTENING ABSOLUTELY WAITING FOR ANOTHER VIDEO ON IT :)
