As a 30yr old we are still aware of the realities but think of the teens and early 20s. These kids think it’s all so rosy and glamourous. Wish they know the deep truths of this industry as well

Me and my partner love travelling but could never get ourselves to become ‘travel content creators’ solely because of the fear of this happening. So we decided to continue our corporate jobs and keep travelling for leisure. You just validated our fear and I think I don’t have any feeling of FOMO anymore after listening to this. I dont know about the content creation part but as a follower of your content I really liked what you guys put up and before planning any of my trips, its your page that i first look for to get inspirations from. Man, I'm no content creator, but I could reverb with every single thing you said here. I too deleted social media (instagram in particular) a few weeks back, and after maybe a week or so like that, i didn't feel the need to come back. The fake-ey nature of social media really hurts, even to laymen like us, but it's very important at the same time to take some time to talk about these issues once in a while. Especially for someone who's livelihood depends on it. As much as you guys would love to continue the way you want to,and not governed by the algorithm, it's an uphill battle against the current generation of content consumption. Of course you'll have loyal followers like us, but growth could he difficult. I am sure you all are aware of this, and I really, really hope I am proven wrong here. You two have inspired me and my girlfriend into planning and shaping a life in a certain way, so we extend our cheers to you for that!

We are all so proud of you, Prachi ❤ It definitely takes so much courage to come up and share this with the world and take up such a huge decision and take a break and give up what the outer world thinks is a fantasy world or dream come true. I could totally relate to everything you shared, even though I am not a content creator or influencer. But always tried and got exhausted and annoyed in few days and always thought how do you all do it and always knew it must be exhausting. I am so happy that you are feeling better and getting the help you need. Having 100 people who really care and love you from the bottom of their hearts are much required than 1M unknown followers on social media who would probably forget about us once they are done scrolling thru their phone.
