Just got a 2023 F350 Lariat Tremor with the 6.7 high output diesel. I have 2025 miles on it currently and I will be changing it at 5000 miles with Amsoil 10w30 signature series fully synthetic diesel oil (Ford does not currently make a full synthetic 10w30 diesel oil), from then on my oil changes will be at 7500 miles. My first fuel filter change will be at 5000 as well and they will be changed every 7500 miles and I drain my water fuel separator once a month as well as well as run Hot Shot Everyday Diesel at EVERY SINGLE FILL UP. The transmission fluid and filter will be changed every 20,000 miles. These machines are incredible BUT REQUIRE superior maintenance and will run for a very very long time if cared for. They are expensive to buy AND expensive to maintain but well worth it.

Schaeffers oil is better than amsoil give it a try.

i bought min in 2020 and currently has 35000 miles on it after 6 oil changes and ford is currently replacing the trans under warranty.

I agree on 5k oil changes , my 2020 F450 gets new oil every 5k and tire rotation every 10k along with fresh fuel filters . Air filters every 15 -20 k depending on outside conditions.

I’ve had a 2014 F350 6.7 for over 10 years now that I ordered new. Aside from having to replace the CP4 and most of the fuel system a couple years ago it’s been extremely reliable. I have kept the emissions system intact because I don’t feel like getting screwed by the epa. I keep up on the maintenance and just worked it hard.

It’s pretty good. I have a 2023 F250 XLT with the standard range fuel tank. I get 615-640 miles per tank.
@TCcustoms_11 ай бұрын
Dang! That’s some good range!

The extended oil change interval is only if you drive under optimal conditions. In my limited experience most vehicles with “smart” maintenance trackers still call for more frequent service, because who would have guessed, the way most people drive they still need more frequent service. If your actually towing or using your truck for work like many it’s probably going to call for earlier oil changes.

No use for a 250 but my dad in law had one was a good truck I have 2.7 eco f150 crew and I’m impressed with it I like to see the newer 2.7 eco I have not had any problems Knocking on wood. Lol Been good truck I got it used.

Love my new 2023 F-350 with the standard output 6.7L PSD. Couldn't justify spending an additional $2.5K when the standard output has MORE than enough power for my towing needs. But to add to the discussion of the increased oil change interval, the engine oil capacity starting for the 2023 model year went up from 13 quarts to 15 (both standard and high outputs). Still no way I would ever go 15K miles between oil changes.

Standard is all you need for a srw truck. You will expire on overweighting the tires before engine issues. My f350 dually has no issues hauling 35k standard output

You should do a video on the 2.7l. It has the same CGI block as the powerstroke. Oh also a video about the pros and cons of auto start stop maybe ask the shop guys it they leave it on or turn it off and why.

Great ideas! You might be seeing those coming soon 😉

I hope they improved the engine break. My 2022 F550 has next to no benefits from the engine break. My measuring stick is based off the 07-11 Dodge 5500. I had a hard time giving up one of my 07 5500s because that engine break in tow haul mode stopped for me. It would automatically downshift and unless it was an emergency or unplanned breaking my foot didn’t touch the break pedal until 15mph. My newer Dodges seemed like they lost some engine break power as well.

The problem is that Ford still went with the CP4 high-pressure pump. So, it will still have cp4 failures. Most of the time, the consumers eat that bill.

If you “roll” into the throttle instead of just floor it you will build boost a lot quicker

Can we purchase the tccustoms shirt you're wearing in this video? I don't see it offered. I could really use this truck.

15k mile oil change? How about every 5k instead. Engines and turbos are expensive, oil is cheap. Even on my 20 year old Ford Ranger, I change the oil religiously every 5k miles. Runs like a top to this day because of that.
@DH-hp7nv11 ай бұрын
The superduty…..unfortunately still comes equipped with the wonderful government inspired emissions control systems that will start crapping out around 80k-100k miles. Oh and still running cp4. The two biggest problems on what would otherwise be a super reliable truck. I say all that and yes i am the proud owner of a 17 superduty. Enjoyed the video Mitchell.

All that technology is great, and they continue with the same diesel pump that completely destroys the engines, it's funny

It’s as fake as Chevy Allison transmissions. That’s why a real power stroke 7.3 can go for more than a new truck
