You can't turn on the TV without seeing a commercial for Weathertech Floorliners these days, but what's the real story? Are they really that good? How do they hold up?...

I left mine in for an entire year without ever cleaning them whatsoever. I live in Colorado, so it took a lot of punishment. When I removed them, all the filth came off in seconds with a hose, and the carpet underneath looked like the car just came out of the factory. I can't imagine anything better, but others might come close for a bit lower price.

I bought the factory black rubber mats for my 09 CRV because they were a little cheaper than WeatherTech. They lasted about 5 years before the driver's side wore a hole in it. I have had the WeatherTech liners in for about two years. No visible wear. These will be my choice from now on! Great product.

I have been using WeatherTech floor liners for close to 20 years. They do require some cleaning agent at some time. Weather Tech sells a kit with cleaner and shine restorer. I use that product also and my floor liners look like brand new. These are a very good product.

I would just like to add my two cents. For anyone who has terrible allergies,these mats are amazing as they have practically no odor. Almost everything with a noticeable smell bothers me in some way and almost all mats stink terribly. These mats truly are amazing. My boyfriend bought them for his 2015 Tacoma and he thinks they are great - and he is very happy that he bought them.

Got them last Christmas for our '09 Avalanche. They work as advertised, however the drivers side one started to sag where it goes vertical just at the door frame. Seems the only fix is to turn it inside out and let it sit for a few hours. Sure enough it returns to original shape but after 3 weeks it's deformed again. Now we've traded the truck and the mats are for sale. I'm trying to clean them and get them "back to black" but the rubber/plastic is very porous and seems to be stained. Not sure if Mother's Back to Black stuff will do any good or maybe just hit them with tire sidewall silicon to make them look nice for a few days. Based on this it's doubtful we'll go back to weathertec for the new truck.

I've had six sets of these for my 2017, and now 2018 Honda civic. They were all warranty sets after the first set. I've had every color also. Out of the six sets, only one fit completely right. All the others, the sides start rolling inward and it allows all kinds of junk under them. They don't clean so easily either. The black becomes faded, the grey shows the dirt even after cleaning. The tan looked the best after almost a year, but the color never really matched the Honda tan so well, and if you don't have tan interior obviously, they aren't gonna look good. The passenger side has no anchor,so it slides everywhere. Now the civic doesn't have an anchor on that side, but weathertech should have put some kind nibs instead of leaving the surface smooth. They do keep the carpets dry very well, but they don't look so great after a short while and let a lot of junk in on the sides where they don't stay molded so well. The rear liner on the other hand ,is made of a different type of material, and seems to fit much better. It doesn't get much use, do i can't comment on being able to clean it. Bottom line for me, they have great customer service,and a lifetime warranty, but if I could find something else that would cover as much as these, but would only hold its shape and not start collapsing in, I would try them instead. I've seen other mats that seem to do this, but they don't make them for the coupe version of the civic,so it doesn't help me.

@MrBulletpoints
@MrBulletpoints 7 жыл бұрын
No, but my car has a hook on each side to hold it in place. If it's not hooked in place it will slide around. You might try to stick a piece of Velcro on the back of the mat. That should keep it in place and it wouldn't take much.

I still love them. I will tell you the only negatives I am aware of. When wet they can be a little slippery, the older versions (which I have) have a glued on logo which can come loose over time, (Not a big deal), and if you don't have the hold down hooks or use the ones that come with the mats, they can move around. Mine still look like new. I just hose them off once in a while.

I wish I had my MONEY back! I got the "custom" floor liners and a cargo mat for my Trailblazer. First of all, they are overpriced for what they are ... especially the floor liners. The driver's side pan comes with holes punched out ... which, to my mind defeats the purpose for which I bought them ... to keep slushy water contained within the pan. Yes, the holes are there for the "auger retention hook" ... which doesn't apply for my vehicle. I'm supposed to screw these stupid things into the carpet and expect they will somehow drill through the carpet to the metal floor. Totally asinine. Instead, leave the impressions where the holes should be and give directions how to drill or cut them out ... but only if they apply. Better yet, there is an all weather Velcro on the market that could be used to keep the liners in place .... which shouldn't have to be if these were truly custom fit. They're not, you will find. The liner trays themselves are no deeper than the mats I replaced. Would I buy these liners again? No, they're not cost effective and the price does not reflect any great engineering achievement. Once again, I'm afraid I've been suckered by HYPE.

Weathertech recommends against this, but you want to be careful on the driver's side where there are usually some sort of anchor lock to hold the mats in place. If your vehicle has these on the driver's side (or any side for that matter) Weathertech is planning on using them and the existing mats need to be removed.

I think it definitely depends on the individual model of vehicle. With my 05 Tacoma, I analyzed the hell out of tons of pics online before pulling the trigger. The Husky Weatherbeaters give me the best coverage and most user-friendly sidewalls, front and rear. But I've seen ugly gaps that expose the carpet with other models of truck.
