Why would the public dismiss Grant's claims when the Trex in San Francisco already proved Dinosaurs exist and Ingen already released a list of confirming that they've cloned dinosaurs. Is it that crazy that they cloned additional dinosaurs not listed? I can imagine that Grant would be very much against the idea of an opening theme park on Isla Nublar, and with palaeontology being bled dry by fierce competition from InGen’s “living dinosaurs” or “genetically engineered theme park monsters”, looking on from the Montana badlands as Earth evolves into a Neo-Mesozoic world.
@The7Purplekirbies6 жыл бұрын
I personally think it'd be cool if we next saw Alan in North Africa or Egypt hunting for Spinosaurus fossils, trying to understand more about the monster he found on Isla Sorna and perhaps waiting for Ingen to screw up again (like they always seem to) so that he can reveal what he experienced without fear of potential reprisal from Ingen (or rather Masrani at this rate). Because after going through two dinosaur related incidents that have resulted in horrific casualties and seeing how Ingen ruined Dr. Malcom's reputation in wake of the first incident, it would make sense for a man who has shown himself to be a thinker and a man who can keep his head down to bide his time before unleashing a damning indictment of the genetics company with mountains of proof to back up his claims.

I doubt Dr. Grant would go near Blue. But I can come up with a scenario for how Owen and Dr. Grant could meet up. From the information released by the DPG, the people who work for it, Claire being one of them, know about Dr. Grant and his reports. Maybe in one point of the film when they’re trying to contain the dinosaurs again, they could come up with suggestions to how to do it or something along those lines. Then Claire would bring up Dr, Grant and his affiliations with the park’s history and about his research on raptors. Owen Grady decides to go find Dr. Grant and heads off to go do so, finding him at a fossil site, digging up fossils like he’s always been. Dr. Grant, however, wants nothing to do with Owen having heard about him and his connections to Blue. Owen would try to bargain with the paleontologist, who eventually agrees to help Owen, but not go with him to find the dinosaurs. And for a bonus, maybe he’ll make another appearance at the end of the movie during the final act or battle, if one takes place. And that’s it for me. :P

If he wasn't completely traumatised by his experiences on Isla Sorna, maybe he held an interest in hiking or wilderness skills. If his parents reconciled (which is their main character arc in the film), he'd have spent a lot of time with them. If Eric wasn't scared off dinosaurs after seeing them in the flesh, he may have wanted to visit Jurassic World if his parents allowed him to go and were able to save up for it. We know Jurassic World took ten years to have a major incident, so unless the Kirby's were present during the time the Indominus escaped they'd have come, seen some dinos and not had their lives threatened, then gone home. Eric may even have followed the Dinosaur Protected Group, and had an interest in joining.

The Retro Gamer I thought this video was going to be about the JP Adventures Novels 1-3. 1 Survivor depicts Eric’s time on the island. After the events of JP3. Alan joins InGen so he can gain access to Isla Sorna to research the dinos. Eric begs to go with Alan and be his young apprentice. Alan begrudgingly accepts. Meanwhile a group of teens infiltrate the island to film a documentary. Eric now on the island and forced by Alan to stay inside goes rogue. He gets lost and meets up with the teens and its about them surviving. Novel 3 I havent read yet all I know is its called Flyers.

This is my theory. After the events of JP3, he continued his work on his digs, but unfortunately couldn't keep the funds coming in order to keep going, so he chose a different career, (best guess case scenario probably retired by now) something that didn't remind him, how dangerous the few dino's were and then being able to go to a psychologist in order to take his mind off the incidents, during this time finds out about isla nublar reopening, knowing full well what is most likely going to happen, but couldn't get a word out because the government were being paid by InGen at the time to keep these sort of things quiet. and finding out the dino's were set free in America one can only assume he'll have something to say about it. a good movie scene to me would be Dr. Grant playing outside with his (I'm gonna say grandkids), but hears a faint noise in the distance, he doesn't quite make it out at first, but then it clicks he knows exactly what that sound is so Grant quickly gets his grandkids back inside the house, turns around and looking straight at him is Blue they stare at each other for a little bit, but then blue proceeds to run off, then finally Grant gets inside, calls Dr. Sattler and says your not going to believe this and then the movie skips to something else

I've always seen Grant as a person less concerned with reputation and fame. He didn't really care if his books we're best sellers or his work was sensationalized. He did however take his research seriously. It is my opinion that whereas Malcolm obsessed over public perception and pointing out the moral and intellectual controversies of our time, Grant more or less understood that shady megacorporations will always weasel around justice and appropriate boundaries. Grant more likely played nicely, possibly event taking hush money to fund his multiple dig sites. He protects his career more than anything, where Ian protects his own ego. Personally I think it is likely that he was persuaded after the first film to stay quiet and be funded. But after jp3 he may have just given a testimony then immediately washed his hands after. Since people still harassed him from the first incident and that was burdensome to tolerate.

After returning to the mainland Alan decided to buy a nice little secluded house in montana, for company he had a dog he named Ian... Alan had trouble sleeping, often dreaming of various dinosaurs speaking to him, calling him by name... Alan started drinking to calm his nerves, and in his increasingly drunken state he started calling Ellie Sattler, wishing for them to be together again, but she got upset with him and changed her number. Alan's condition only worsened after this and he only had his dog, Ian, to talk to.. however, as Ian couldn't talk back to him it didn't satisfy his need for social interaction. But remembering how he had used some piece of a Raptor's 3D modeled skull to communicate with raptors, he decided to harvest the skull of the neighbours poodle to attempt to improve his communication with Ian. Police were quickly dispatched to his house, shot his dog on sight and chased him off into the woods. Where he is now is unknown. Some farmers say they've seen an old naked man with a cowboyhat spying on their chickens.. clucking to them and running off with all the chicken fodder he could carry when confronted. Only thing that's certain is that if he's showing up in JW3 it'll be spectacular and he's gonna have a hat.

Great video. The iconic character deserved an afterthought. To be perfectly clear, the idea of Grant dead is completely unacceptable to me. Dr. Grant is a man of solid granite, he does not crumble, at all. The figure is possibly one of the best main characters of all time, and presented brilliantly by Sam Neill. I actually didn't like the second movie for not having Alan Grant in it at all when I was a kid. With mr. Grants whereabouts we are moving into questionable territory. A man so integrated into his work, he is possibly used some time after his trip to Isla Sorna writing a new book. A slight confirmation that his theories on the behaviour on the Raptors are actually well verified. Maybe he opened up some new debates on the nurturing habits of these animals. I think, if we see the perspective of how the worlds new dinosaur discoveries mostly occur in China, it is save to assume that Grant actually went on some excavation missions in China and possibly Mongolia. This could be to further his studies, and or, to escape the press - say what you want about dr. Grant, but he doesn't really spell celebrity quality to me - though being much more interesting. He seems to be seeking seclusion and peace and quite in order to think and work. I don't know if China could bring him that, but maybe he could settle there, maybe even find love. If there is one thing I really expects to happen in Jurassic World 3 (inset name) is to see Alan Grant again. I have this dream that Alan Grant meets Owen and they look a little awkward at each other with Claire looking at them, one after another in disarray - then Owen says; "Hi Dad..." Alan smiles slightly and says, "Hey son..." Alan looks at Claire and Maisie. "You could have told me you brought the family. I would've cleaned up. And you could have told me you had one, is that so much to ask for?" "Geez, Dad..." Owen signs as Claire looks blushed at him and Maisie. Great video again mr. Klayton Fioriti.

I know they are no longer counted as Canon, but shortly after Jurassic Park three there came out a mini book series called Jurassic Park adventures, one which was called survivor which was more or less a journal explaining Erics survival on the island and then the sequel book prey which Said that Alan Grant wanted to set up a research station on the island after witnessing the extreme intelligence of raptors and their herding methods of surrounding pray and keeping them in an area slowly picking them off, leading to the eventual extinction or famine on the island if nothing was done to prevent it, although there is no mention of it in Jurassic world and has more or less been swept under the rug as never happened, it did make a very good story and personally I like to think that it did happen. The third book was called flyers which was the story of pteranodons from the third film flying to Montana and causing havoc although I’ve never read that one.

We know that only one raptor will be in Jurassic World III...Blue. So we know there won’t be any raptor ‘overruns’ on a blocked road like in terrible dinosaur CGI movies like ‘rise of the dinosaurs’ (I think that’s what It’s called) with the carno-raptors as raptors.

@@Scrinwaipwr Blue was confirmed to be the last raptor in the JP/JW universe. Dr. Wu's research was destroyed in JW2, so unless a third party that isnt InGen creates more raptors, she is indeed the last one

Exactly. PR for JW3 suggests other companies will be creating dinosaurs and there's no reason that won't include velociraptors. Personally I would rather (if i had to choose) see Troodon and/or Deinonychus (with feathers) but I am assuming nothing.
@bradwhite58846 жыл бұрын
@@RikelWirkkunen Probably not, their still plenty of Dinosaur DNA left, we have seen few in a briefcase at one scene which means they will make more dinosaurs but that does not mean that thats all the dino DNA that are left and that there are more somewhere probably in one of Ingen labs or one of their secluded or secret labs or site somewhere away from the media and the the world, also we do not know what happened to the rest of the Raptors from JP:TLW and JP3 that we know or if the survived, the same with the T Rex family if they moved off from Sorna before the ecosystem went haywire, they could be either sent to Nublar or somewhere else or just stuck on Sorna, also what about the Corythosaurus from JP3, who knows really
@RikelWirkkunen6 жыл бұрын
@@bradwhite5884 we do know what happened to the raptors from TLW and JP3, it was confirmed in promotional material for JW:FK, which has been covered many times on this channel, that every dinosaur that wasnt moved from Sorna to Nublar is extinct, so with the exception of what third party people clone in JW3, the only dinosaurs left in universe are the ones that were taken from Nublar on the ship. Also yes there was a briefcase full of dino DNA in JW:FK, however Wu wouldnt logically have any raptor DNA left otherwise he wouldnt have been so adamant on having Blue and her DNA, nor would he have been so furious when her blood was contaminated with Rex blood.

But if anything living the quiet life not caring about going back. He almost died multiple times already so why not tempt fate any further
@theblade44 жыл бұрын
My theory is that, after the events of JP3, Dr. Grant met someone and finally decided to settle down and have a family of his own after seeing Ellie with her husband at the beginning, and seeing the Kirby's together and how well they came together through the drastic time. While still struggling to hold together the digs, he took a break from researching Raptors. That is until Dominion comes along and we'll see him have a run in with Blue, which at some point leads to a run in with Owen, who in fact turns out to be the little kid from the first movie that Allan scares with the Raptor attack description. Owen will explain to Allan how that one story scares the crap out of him, but also fascinated him enough to study Raptors and become a trainer after the Navy. Just my theory...

Some theorists are speculating that Alan Grant might be one of the many individuals that Blue stumbles across during her travels... I honestly think it'd be one of the coolest ways to show how well Grant would take to the notable more docile, but still dangerous, newer version of Henry Wu's Velociraptors!
