Could someone explain to me how Pearl's take on the Matt Walsh tweet makes sense? Walsh is speaking specifically about cheating when married. DiCaprio isn't married and is irrelevant as an example here. Pearl's first friend who's dating multiple women who know about each other isn't relevant, because he's not married and not cheating. Walsh is right that cheating in marriage frequently leads to pain and loss. If children are involved, it's worse. Walsh didn't say anything about morality. He didn't say men aren't tempted, or that some men aren't very tempted, very frequently. He also didn't say anything was wrong with dissolving a marriage for other reasons and then following temptation. What is her point with bringing the tweet up? That it's virtue signaling? This is an ad hominem attack: she's attacking Walsh, not engaging with his ideas.
