@@jd9119Exactly. There is so much recentcy bias. The 80s had 33 million people watching. The 90s had 16 million people watching. Now we have 3 million at BEST. Today is the lowest it's ever been. Match quality is down across the board. That's why old videos are the most popular on KZbin. If this era was so good the average age of the WWE fan wouldn't be 47 & the most watched content wouldn't be "The Attitude Era" & "The Golden Era." The least watched is AEW who can barely get 20,000 views. That's WILD to think even their KZbin channel has less views than a typical MSG HOUSE SHOW from WWE. Why? Because they have the most modern Indy style out there.

@@mikesannitti6042That’s a false narrative. Scott Steiner failed Scott Steiner. He had a pretty solid push but he was sluggish and couldn’t perform to the same standard. Today, Scott takes accountability for his second WWE run. Goldberg was given a massive push in WWE, even became world champion. Goldberg didn’t realize that WWE is WWE and they do not operate the same as WCW was like. Goldberg became a problem backstage. Of course his push would wind down due to his lack of flexibility. Goldberg came back years later and was given a great run for those that were still Goldberg fans. Steve Austin, Triple H, Mick Foley, Undertaker, etc. all came from WCW yet they were given massive pushes during the Attitude Era. @@XTR02 Goldberg losing cleanly. Him being booked to only do a couple moves fed into the negative narrative about him even though in WCW he was doing drop kicks, backflips, judo hip tosses, and a variety of mma inspired moves. And when I say wcw guys I mean the top tier guys who came over after the buyout. DDP, Hall, Nash, Sting, Goldberg, Steiner all had abbreviated bad runs in WWE after being the ones who put the competition over the WWF. Only Hogan was immune and that's because he was Hogan.

Maven! Not sure how swamped you are with video ideas but I was wondering if you’d do a what if story line videos. How YOU would’ve taken creative control during some of the most prominent story lines of WWE. Whether that’s tweaking the story or leaving it how it played out. Like cena with nexus or Zack Ryder continuing his wrestlemania moment and not losing to the miz the next day

It is ALWAYS wild to hear folks talking about Ronnie. He was in a relationship for about 6 years with my lifelong best friend. He had just been released from WWE and he walked into the strip club in Memphis where both I and my bestie worked. This was 2002-2003. He started every morning with a menthol cigarette in one hand and a blunt in the other. He was cool and funny. His physique was naturally so great. My BFF, Mandi and I lived in the same apt complex in Cordova, just across from each other. Ronnie’s biggest passion was his music. He would play his demo CDs and he had (or has, I don’t know now) a style and sound very similar to Mystikal. When he began working for TNA, after Mandi and he had been together a while, in late 2003, they moved into a house together back in Nashville. Mandi became a mother to one of his children by one of his baby moms. Trey was a precious little boy and Mandi loved that child so much. She got him ready for and took him to school every day, and typically, picked him up and cared for him at night. The relationship started to become toxic and somewhat abusive after some time living together. Mandi was ready to quit stripping, but she made exceptional money and she paid for nearly everything, from the home to the cars. My stripping career was only 2 years and I’d moved out to California and picked up my old career in Sales and Management at AT&T. I didn’t see Ronnie after 2003, but I was told a lot about him. It would seem he has grown up a lot, like most of us, and though he did not end up treating my bestie the way she deserved, I am always happy to hear about him and see how well he’s doing. The hardest part of their breakup was that Mandi had loved Trey like her own and when she and Ronnie split, she has never seen Trey again. Now, he’s a grown man himself! I could go on and on, but it is surreal when I see him on vids or documentaries or even just hearing about Ronnie Killings, because of the closeness in proximity I had with him and the long relationship he had with the best friend I’ve known since 1983.

I could’ve sworn that Shelton was the most underused and underappreciated atheltes in the WWE. He should’ve been a Brock Lesnar type character who didn’t have good mic skills but could still be main event because of his elite in-ring skills. He was done dirty

I agree with you about scott Steiner. Politics and injury plagued his career . And Shelton Benjamin should've been a world champion for WWE

Let me tell you how good you are at telling stories and making videos. My interest in wrestling has always been limited to a couple of N64 games back in the day (haven't played that type of game since), looking at random YT clips of some of the bigger known guys, and a random documentary here and there. I've never really cared enough about wrestling and could never get into watching a full show or even a full match. That being said I have binged your videos. You are just excellent at covering topics and keeping it interesting enough for even someone like me to remain interested.

I disagree with the assessment that Test would have been high up in the hierarchy of WWE. Politics might have affected him but he didn't have great charisma and his mic work was mediocre at best. Maybe he could have been a good heel in the middle of the card
@Butiguessilovememore2 ай бұрын
Yeah. I'm watching through older year rn and he's midcard heel at best.
@jasontodd18962 ай бұрын
Test was better hhh. Test could of been a main event talent
@stuartday13302 ай бұрын
@@jasontodd1896 You're going to have to explain that. I mean of course your entitled to an opinion but how'd you come to that conclusion? Triple H was great on the mic, funny when he had to be. See the Nation of Domination spoof DX did. He was serious and you believe what he says. See his promos when feuding with Shawn or The Rock. Test could barely spoke and could barely speak when he did. Triple H was a great worker. Test was okay, he wasn't David Flair bad but no where near Triple H. Test couldn't come back from his burial after the Stephanie McMahon debacle. Triple H came back after being tossed out winning the King of the Ring and had forgetful feuds. So how was Test any where near a main eventer let alone as good or better than Triple H?
