What is PCOS and how did I get it?
If you have been recently diagnosed with PCOS, you might have alot of questions. What exactly is PCOS? How did I get it? What can I do about it?

Just found out I don't think I was correctly diagnosed with PCOS. My ovaries are polycystic but I have regular periods and my bloodwork was normal, although I don't think they did the testing at the correct time of month. Does the bloodwork need to be at a certain time of month to be accurate?

Even if your not fully pcos you can still benefit greatly by taking key supplements to help control insulin resistance. We use these for all our ladies who demonstrate insulin resistance no matter the cause

Can I use a OneTouch diabetes device to check my blood glucose once a day to make sure its within normal range? At the hospital my glucose was 112. Which is 2 points over the normal nonfasting range. So the doctor come back and told me everything was fine. But he should have asked when the last time I ate or drank anything was, because I would've told him I had been fasting for 18 hours by the time they took my blood. Which makes 112 "prediabetic". 🤦🏼‍♀️ so i cut all my sugar and carbs and ate like a wolf for the bext 24 hours. Used my fathers OneTouch and my nonfasting glucose was 95. Perfect. Eating everything i was told not to eat to lose weight was so weird, but I lost 5 pounds in a week. I had been plateaued at 160 for the past 6 months of 500 calories a day...of carbs. It was so stressful and making me so frustrated. Thank god i figured this out. They did say they saw the "string of pearl" "cysts"/fibroids when they did the ultrasound. They also saw a dermoid cyst. And see where im losing my hair and apple shape. Im 5'9 and 158 now, so im really happy im not on BMI point away from being overweight anymore.

did you have hair loss like shedding to the tough and come out in clumps in shower? what did you do pls....

Yes and have your A1c checked every 4 to 6 months

What is the best workout to slim your upper body with pcos

You can’t spot reduce fat but I personally suggest adding weight lifting as it increases you metabolism so you burn extra calories outside of your workout as well. As you build more muscle you BMR will increase as well as muscle has higher energy needs than fat so you’ll be burning more calories in general. Weightlifting is also great for women to help avoid osteoporosis

They say slow weighted workouts and 10min walks after meals. You don't want to do crazy intense workouts because they raise stress hormones.
