Did water purification in the Marines, those are similar but smaller reverse osmosis units that we would have (1st gen was ROWPU, 2nd gen TWPS). This is the modern LWPS (lightweight water purification system), deployed after I discharged from the USMC. These were designed to be deployed with a Humvee in mind rather than 7 ton and HE support with generation operation. All the same equipment, high pressure pumps push through RO elements after a granular filtration as a pre filter. You can get water so clean if you get it right it can be as pure as distilled. Send these and me out to Maui, I'll call up some of my 1171 boys and we'll show you how to get some clean out water out of these straight from the ocean!
