Intuitive training is a great method. I do find that having a base level of strength or a low volume defined routine in addition can ensure good linear progression :)

With intuitive training I learned exercises like archer or aztec push ups in few weeks. If I would be following some system it would be holding me back for a half of year or more.

that is definitely not the secret... the secret to simonster's strength is time, the man has been at it for 16 years.... time, be patient, and with TIME you too will be strong regardless if you train intuitively or in a structured fashion... TIME!

I really like the intuitive approach and love to hear the word 'play' thrown in the mix with 'train'. Too many people (myself included) get going on a strict program and get tunnel vision, which limits exploration. Aren't we doing this for fun? The intuitive approach can be difficult, and I do think it relies on having a solid training base behind you, but I think it's a great way to keep things fresh and to continue being curious.

Very impressive Simon... I've exercised and competed for many years and I'm wildly impressed by your methods and what you're capable of. I believe in exercising what feels right on any given day. To all the people just beginning please do not attempt the things Simon can do without proper instruction as a plain old gym workout is nowhere near what Simon is doing here. Get with a knowledgeable trainer before attempting anything Simon does. You can be seriously injured by throwing yourself into a movement you're unfamiliar with. You have to have, at the very least, a solid base physique before even beginning to attempt these exercises.

I found what works for me is progressions and for time. Instead of reps say for example 15, 30 or 60 minutes of the best progression of the Planche. When you reach failure in the progression then move to an easier progression.

I agree that there should be space to play around and challenge yourself with new moves... however, in my opinion there' s high chance that you will overdo it (especially if you're super determined)... therefore it is recommended to follow a loose schedule as well as rep/sets workout scheme

Im following the program but I wonder if is for general physical fittness purposes or just to be able to perform some calisthecnics moves?. Yes exactly. I don't believe in programs, progressed very fast with rings strength. Listening to your body is what i live by. BUT i made the mistake of achieving an iron cross and with young blind uninformed excitement, i kept attempting it. Worst decision, forearm has never been the same

if I was Daniel I'd whisper close to his ear and ask him "why's your full planche always bent arms.... mate. "
@LeXx0r8 жыл бұрын
what are you talking about? watch 'simonster 2.0'. clearly no bent arms
@ziyaadsam0088 жыл бұрын
LeXx0r yes you are right, all the vids I saw was always slightly bent. I have seen him lockout but it's usually very brief or in a cluster full of other movements or the video is edited with loads of cuts. I guess I never really watched all the vids so I can't know better but the reason I didn't watch more is because majority of the time his arms are bent and I'm like that's cool strength but doesn't look clean. It's just my taste, I prefer Daniel as a fitness KZbin channel because the shit he does isn't for entertainment and more for working out so i wouldnt go into a planche that looks like it's bent because that's ego planching .
@LeXx0r8 жыл бұрын
