I personally think Narcissa was smarter than Andromeda or Bellatrix. She wasn't disinherited, nor she married someone she didn't love. She fulfilled her duty as a member of Black family and also married someone she loved.

Bellatrix was obsessed with Riddle/Voldemort, but he had no interest in Bellatrix romantically. None of Voldemort followers knew that he ![Riddle/Voldemort] was a half-blood: a pureblood mother [Gaunt] and a muggle father. Riddle killed his remaining Gaunt relatives for disowning his mother, and his Riddle family for his father abandoning her.

Voldemort's followers knew he was not a pureblood. When he returned in the Goblet of fire he summoned them to a muggle graveyard and told them they were here because he had needed his fathers' bones for his resurrection.

No he didn't. He only killed his Muggle relatives. Both his grandfather and uncle died in Azkaban. The old man was sent to prison for attacking a ministry official. He was old so he died after a few years. s for the uncle, he went as well. But he was released after he served his time. Then Tom came along and killed his father+ Muggle grandparents. The uncle gladly took the rap for it and was sent back to Azkaban. This time he died there.

She never even had children even though she was expected to produce pure blood children, between Voldemort and Azkaban O don't think she had the time or desire to do those things, maybe after Voldemort won but not before.

I always love your Bellatrix videos, even though I would like to point out that some of the things you say in them are actually speculation, almost fanfiction-y. For example, even though it's also my personal headcanon, we don't know that the two of them met at Hogwarts... actually we don't even know their age gap, or if Rabastan was older or younger than Rodolphus (even though the headcanon in the fandom is that he was younger). And this is because of what you said at the end of the video: there was no space for him in the books. I always felt that the saga could have expanded much more on some characters, especially the Malfoy/Blacks/Lestranges, but that it would not really be relevant to Harry's story. Again, we know nothing, which means that we can speculate. For all we know, Rodolphus could have been gay. Or maybe, even though her love and obsession was with Voldemort, Bellatrix was good friends with Rodolphus, maybe they had a sexual relationship as well, maybe they had an open marriage (I mean, they DEFINITELY had an open marriage, but maybe it wasn't behind Rodolphus' back or a situation where she's cheating and he's just having to accept it because what else can he do?); maybe they were polyamorous. Maybe there were instances where Voldemort himself was jealous of Rodolphus for his relationship with a woman that was supposed to only worship him and think about him (he doesn't seem like someone who shares...) We don't know, we probably never will.

I find it a bit ironic that their obsession to stay together because they were both from powerful pure blood families. I think they both might have had kids if they were with other people, and they could then have furthered their cause and their blood status.

Yes "poor' Rudolphus. I mean he was only married to the (arguably) hottest witch in the series. And whenever Voldemort was too busy with his plotting/scheming, I'm certain Rudy was there to help her with certain "needs". And seeing as how the marriage was just for show, I'm almost certain she wouldn't have objected if other women attended to his own "needs", while she was with Voldemort. So I'd call it a "win-win" situation that most guys only dream about. The "poor" guy.

Bellatrix married Rodolphus because of her family's beliefs, which she fully embraced as her own. It was expected of her to marry a fellow pureblood wizard and she did just that. She didn't care if she loved or did not love the man she was going to marry, she just wanted to continue the tradition of marrying another pureblood wizard, as expected. Her family's beliefs were something she took to heart always. Also, love was not a priority for Bellatrix so for her a loveless marriage didn't bother or matter to her. She did not love her husband Rudolphus because the only thing she cared about was to fully commit herself to the dark lord. She was very proud to be a DE and did whatever tasks Voldemort gave her to do, happily. Lastly, Bellatrix didn't love her husband because she was in love with Voldemort, he to me was Bellatrix's first love, the first man she ever fell for, and she did whatever he wanted her to do to try to make him proud of her. Overall, the only reason she got married to Rodolphus was because it was expected of her, not because she was in love with him, she did it was she wanted to follow her family's beliefs as she embraced them as her own beliefs. Her only priorities in her eyes were her fully devoting herself to the dark lord and nothing else.

Rodolphus was probably attracted to her, but that was all the affection that was there. Their "friendship" during Hogwarts was only because of the wealthy pureblood status, not because they really liked each other.

Now, I think Rodolphus and Bellatrix had a platonic friendship in Hogwarts and when they had their arranged marriage, it was "well, we'll try to fufill our duty" (i.e: have pureblood children), but Rodolphus is an exclusive necrophile, which made him unable to perform and Bellatrix would have gone from "okay, it will be super awkward, but this is for dutie's sake" to "I won't have anything to do with you, even if you were the last man on Earth!" I also think Voldemort would want his Death Eaters to have children, for one simple reason. If he plans to live forever, that means he would need to eventually replace his team of Death Eaters, which will be easier if they were born into such beliefs.

Bellatrix being the eldest daughter had the most pressure on her to make a proper marriage match. So she married Rodolphus Lestrange out of duty. Also Tom Riddle wouldn't marry her, because despite all he had done to free himself from his past, he could never escape the fact that he is a half-blood. Perhaps the reason that Bellatrix and Rodolphus didn't have children was because Rodolphus was infertile. Bella having a baby with Tom proved that she was not barren. And ultimately gave her the child she wanted with the man that she loved.

I think Narcissa was the lucky one she married out of love and at the same time duty for her family. she managed to make her parents and family happy, but she also found the love of her life. she out of the 3 sisters didn't have a problem keeping her family and keeping herself happy there was one who just married and found love there was a sister who just wanted to please her parents. and finally, there was one who found love in her family's duty. I think the black sisters is my favorite story arc sort of like the tail of the 3 brothers. 3 of the brothers did something that shows their thoughts one was arrogant and wanted to be the most powerful wizard, one who wanted to cheat death, and one who wanted to hide from death.

I believe Bellatrix married Rodolphus out of duty. There was no love between them. Maybe the only attraction for Bellatrix towards Rodolphus was her lust of power. Seeing, as you say, they knew each other from school, and her education from home to stay pure, and Rodolphus was a supporter of Voldemort, something might have clicked in her mind. But I really think she lusted for power more than she wanted love. I think that is why she followed Voldemort so avidly and fervently, no matter how long she was married before sent off to Azkaban. That explains her devotion to Voldemort (for me) even after the mass break out of Azkaban and Voldemort regaining power. She wanted Voldemort's approval more than anything. She lusted for power maybe just as much as Voldemort did. (just a thought)

I wonder if what partially drew her to Rodolphus was the fact that his father was one of his closest followers in the beginning. We see a Lestrange in Slughorn's memory among Tom Riddle's gang, he likely became one of the original DEs. Given that the Lestranges as a family were described as being his most devoted servants, it's likely that this started with Lestrange Sr. Maybe Bellatrix hoped that marrying into the Lestrange family would give her more direct contact with Lord Voldemort.

There's a suggestion that Bellatrix and Voldemort conceived a child during the course of the 7th book while at Malfoy Manor. But then that means you have to take Cursed Child as Cannon which most people don't.

The butthurt for Cursed child reminds me strongly of similar pouting in another fandom I am apart of..namely the anime Naruto. Bellatrix is a leader and an overachiever but I don’t get that sense from Rodolfus despite being formidable and coming from the wizard elite he’s doesn’t strike me as an leader, his talents are just slightly above average and he’s no intellectual. It come as no surprise that the moment Bellatrix meets Voldermont she’s taken in by him because he mirrors her character an intellectual, a leader and overachiever just as she is and Rodulfus isn’t.
